We just stayed one night in Pension Chiki. I gave 4 stars not for a fancy place but for the service and kindness of the people. It is walking distance to the Castle, across a church and several restaurants. The rooms are small but clean. It is great to be in the old town and the price is right. I...

Yhe old town of Penoscola is certainly a busy place, and during the fiesta season, the first three weeks in September, even more so with some 'celebrations' going on for a very long time! But to really savour this, you must stay in the old town and if you can find a truly welcoming hotel /pension, then you have cracked...

My husband and I visited Peniscola for a week in June. It was hot, sweaty and fun! The beaches were packed out and we filled our faces with tapas, paella, and cava!! I love the food here!! The hotel was perfectly located for the beaches and restaurants and also has its own restaurant which served some of the best food...

Pension Chiki is beautiful - run by the owners who put their heart and soul into running of the hotel. Rooms are in excellent order tastefully decorated and everything working. There are some reviews that discuss the noise but this to occur mainly on Friday and Saturday night, but for us just Friday. The rooms have double glazing, wooden shutters...

Stayed for a night early June. The owners were most friendly and couldn't do enough for us but it helps if you speak Spanish! Right in the citadel on a narrow street which can get busy with traffic, close to the city walls and church. Rooms look newly refurbished and are modern, air conditioned, well equipped, and spotlessly clean. Excellent...

We found this place through Lonely Planet which raved about the hosts. Somewhat to our surprise, the guide was entirely accurate. Great people. The woman wanted to carry our bags upstairs. Charming people, Charming place located above the maddening crowd down by the beach. The rooms are not huge but are spotlessly clean with all the comforts: TV, AC and...

The rooms are ok, clean. We took a family room, which had two bedrooms and one bathroom. But the best deal is the location. This place is right in the middle of the cobbled pathway town. The church is right next and you are woken up at 8 am by the church bells!

Chiki is the ONLY place we stay at in Peñiscola, we always stay here and always will. The hostel is in the old part of the town near the castle, and nestled in between great restaurants, shopping, and a short walk down to the beach. The rooms are cozy, the wifi is great, televisions are great, the rooms are air...

This place is very unassuming at first...but my goodness the location is everything. Located atop the fortress you get a view on the Mediterranean from both sides. Cobblestone streets with shops and restaurants are right outside the door. The owners are the most fantastic people who help with any questions as much as they can (even with a small language...
