We are at the Bella vista at the moment and have thoroughly enjoyed our time here the staff try their hardest during these difficult times Mustafa who is the bar manager works extremely hard not trying to keep everyone happy we were in the adult only section and our suite was lovely it was cleaned on a daily basis and we were provided fresh sheets and towels throughout our stay.
Although a lot of the guests were complaining that the bar in the adult section wasn't open we were told on arrival that it was due to the government informing the hotel that they could only have one bar open and no matter which bar had been open the other guests would have complained so the pool staff cannot get it right.
The only complaint that I really have is that there was very little selection of hot food available however it is extremely cheap to eat out so this small fact did not deter from the enjoyment of our holiday we had an amazing time and would love to return when the adult section is fully open so we can enjoy a full complement of the hotels facilities.

This is an honest review.
Myself and my husband weren't staying here but my daughter and extended family are .
As a surprise we booked a different hotel and before my daughter's arrival went to mersoy reception and ask if we were okay to join her around the pool and use the facilities.
The very polite guy at reception went one better and offered us the all-inclusive option for just £10 a day.
We had seen the negative reviews but wanted to spend time with our family so went for it.
After 1 meal and few drinks we felt like we had our money's worth.
Yes the hotel is advertised as 4 star more like 3.
The bad reviews are OTT a few cracked tile's and run down communal toilets aren't enough to spoil anyone's holiday.
Food was better than reviews made out.
More choices than the Marbas where we stayed.
On check in my daughter was given a room on the family side and went to see the same nice guy on reception asked if they could move to adult side he asked if they would like to view rooms on the adult side which she had originally booked anyway.
Rooms are a lot bigger on the adult side with the nicer walk-in shower room.
Bar service was good no complaints plenty of choice, not just 2 choices of cocktails like the reviews said.
Adult pool was clean and there were a few broken tiles (again didn't spoil our holiday)the pool side sun bathing cushions were a little worse for wear but people didn't seem to mind.
Lounger around the pool were in good condition and comfortable the upper sun terrace gets the sun all day.
I will say that had it not been for myself telling my daughter there is a completely separate part across a cobbled road they probably wouldn't have known unless other guest told because reception never mentioned it on arrival.
On occasion we did see other guests arguing with reception about varying things but we didn't find anything warranting complaints.
The complainers in my opinion must have never done self catering because Turkish hotels and accomodations are usually very basic unless you're willing to pay premium so the Mersoy Bella Vista is very much around the right price for what you get in the all-inclusive.
I would have no hesitation in booking here myself if we come back to Icmeler.
Good location close beach, Richards bar highly recommended if you book a party free trimmings and cake.
Also across the road from Umbrella St and just the up the road Waterfall restaurant very romantic.
No pics sorry.

We had a great holiday here. The staff were amazing, there was a problem with our booking (EasyJet error) and reception sorted it without any fuss. Mehmet and Selim on the bar smiled all day made our holiday, Sinan always had our drinks ready and went out of his way to make them exactly how we liked them. The girl in the restaurant was constantly clearing plates and stocking up, the chef made fresh omelettes in the morning which were great. Every member of staff is a credit to this hotel.
The food was okay, the drinks were strong and in proper glasses which was good.
A lot of facilities were closed, including the whole adult side pool area, so everyone was crammed at the small pool and bar in the family section. There was no entertainment or snacks as advertised by EasyJet.
All in all a great holiday for what we paid.

Check in was smooth, taken to a room on the adult side as booked, offered us a room which wasn't what had been booked as 'pool view' so they quickly changed us to another room. It was dated, bathroom basin / tap and bath leaked when used, floor continuously flooded. Towels were the thinnest i'd ever seen, changed daily for clean ones but equally as thin. No pool towels supplied at this hotel, no water in the fridge supplied, air con was fairly good. 2 chairs on balcony no table, we asked for a table, but it didn't arrive so we used one from the poolside. We asked for a kettle too, it didn't arrive during our 9 night stay despite asking a second time for one! Food was very poor, same very limited things day in day out, only 4 hot dishes at any meal time, salads were plentiful, lacking fresh fruit only apples, plums and some water melon at lunch & dinner, I was expecting more variety given it was readily growing locally. Bar was appalling, vodka, beer, Raki & an odd flavored Gin. Only self service tea served before 8am, no cold drinks or coffee. No snack bar, no icecream at all. fortunately we didn't have children to accommodate, some did on the family side of the hotel unsure how they coped to be honest. Pool was nice on adult side but surrounding facilities not open, so visiting the bar wasn't ideal as on the opposite side of the road. Spa was very good, Eric offered a few deals to include a Turkish bath etc, well worth the money in my opinion. Quite easy for the hotel to blame Covid for their failings, but other local hotels & restaurants seem to have managed to pull things together, maybe if they are finding it more difficult, they should tell you at check in that some services are not as they should be! Fortunately, we were able to eat out mostly, but appreciate that not everyone has budgeted for visiting local restaurants when an all inclusive holiday has been booked and paid for. Needless to say, we wont return to this hotel.

Location of the hotel is perfect very close to the beach, some lovely walks and restaurants nearby.
The area is beautiful and cannot be faulted.

The hotel itself is very outdated, the pictures we seen on booking were gorgeous and I was looking forward to my stay.
When we arrived we were put in a room with mould on bathroom wall, all the chipwood furniture chipped and cracked. No locking mechanism to balcony which was halved for a small balcony for room next door. We asked to be changed rooms as it was just awful and they kindly agreed 2nd room much nicer although still had issues.
We were also advised there would be a kettle in room (very earlier riser) and you actually had to pay £17 per week for this service.
Deposit box in room again but had to pay £21 per week to use this.
You could also hire a towel for by the pool at a cost of £8 per week ( don't do this they are actually really cheap in shops nearby to buy).

Food was repetitive, very little choice and cold (even upon commencement of service), there was a microwave in the dinning area to actually warm it up. Chips were served with every meal.
Breakfast did consist of freshly made omelets every day but little other in choice. Hence how we know the restaurants near are lovely.
It also drove me nuts that the plates were not matching and of equal size.

Drinks - all inclusive only if they didn't run out which happened on a daily basis of a few. I think on one day they only actually had left soft drinks and efes. Daily drinks would consist of efes, wine, vodka, gin and soft drinks. The guys would make a few cocktails from these.
They occassionally had peach schnapps but you could gaurantee this ran out every day I'm sure they were only given 1 bottle per day. Poor barstaff always looked embarrassed at telling you it had ran out again.
The hot drink machined literally only had black coffee or white coffee working, ran out of everything else and never replaced through our stay certainly.

There was only one pool open not 2 as advertised, the adult only pool was closed and looked as though there was no intentions of opening as it had green algae in it.
I'm not sure if I ever actually saw the pool that was opened getting cleaned around yes the guys swept daily but the sunbeds were never wiped down and the floor never washed. One day it rained very short period but heavy, they swept around to remove the water down the drain and it was filthy.

Entertainment was none existent apart from a laptop playing the occasional music behind the bar. No children's entertainment.

If your expecting 4 star you will be sorely disappointed I would suggest this is merely a 2 star at best.

The staff did their very best although the appeared brow beaten and I applaud them.
The sauna is lovely and worth a visit probably the only thing that is.

If you are looking at going to turkey to lose weight then this hotel is perfect, the food is TERRIBLE! On the first day we had breakfast, I didn’t eat breakfast in the hotel after this. There are many different bars outside the hotel where it can cost you between £2-£3 for a full English. At lunch there are about 4 trays with food in to choose from, which are usually some sort of meatball dish, some potatoes, pasta or rice, and vegetable gratin. Dinner was very similar, but sometimes we would have chicken which you have to check if it’s cooked, I wouldn’t feed this food to my dogs!

We stayed in room 1308, after arriving in our room we found that the bathroom light wasn’t working properly, and the fridge had what looked like animal dropping inside! The smell was terrible! I went and told the staff at reception and they said someone would come and sort it. 2 days later the light fully stopped working which means I had to shower in the dark, I told reception once more, but they couldn’t do anything about it. “The engineer isn’t in the hotel today” “we had Turkish holiday and all shops close for 3 days” “we have no more light bulbs in the hotel.” So on the last day I complained one more time about not being able to see in the shower, and it took them 2 minutes! Why couldn’t this have been done the first time I asked?!

When visiting the pool be sure to wear shoes, I witnessed about 3 people stand on glass, the signs say “no glass around the pool area”, but when you go to the bar, which is in the pool area, they give you glass? Many glasses got smashed during our stay, and the man who cleans it up doesn’t do a very good job, he didn’t even bring a brush one of the times, just picked all the big pieces up and then left.
The actual pool was quite nice, we had 1 day where it was abit cloudy and looked dirty, but I think this was because of too much chlorine, and on the last day of our stay, the pump was broken and the water was lower than it should be, which caused there to be a lot of dead bugs and bits of tree in the pool.

The drinks in the hotel are nothing special, they have a choice of 2 cocktails, blue or red, which is “vodka” sprite and grenadine or Blue Curaçao. They have a choice of vodka or gin, which they use the same bottles for, and finally the beer, its Efes which is served everywhere, would be a lot better if it wasn’t as gassy.

BUT we met about 8 different English families and couples who made our holiday absolutely amazing, despite the hotel being a 2* (meant to be a 4*)

Dear Sir or Madam, Thanks for your review which will help us improve our services. We hope to see you again and you are more than welcome to stay with us on BB basis if you do not like the food as we serve Turkish food, not English food. We NEVER do fake reviews and Tripadvisor does not allow it. If we could manage the reviews on this site, as you say, why would we have bad reviews in Tripadvisor. Then we would manage them as well. Thanks once again and all the best from Icmeler, Marmaris. Best Regards,

AVOID this hotel.

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel for a week away from the 7th to the 14th of September , upon arrival we were rushed through the reception like cattle ,past the pool in the “family” block of which the floor surrounding it is covered in puddles of water and no lighting to see where you are stepping .

the man who took our bags then proceeds to take us to a room that I can only describe as a safety hazard , upon entering the room he turns and tells us that if we have any problems with the room we are to complain the following morning to management.
As he leaves the room my boyfriend and I begin having a look around , I try to turn on the air con that is taped together and it doesn’t work . We then go to open the curtains to step out onto the balcony , and the curtain falls off of the rail onto the floor , I then step outside onto the balcony into a puddle of water.

We then proceed to check if the fridge is working and to no surprise that doesn’t work either. The front door and patio door also didn’t lock or shut properly.

As advised I go down to repetition at 8 am the next morning to be told that management wasn’t In that day ( we were previously told they would be there at 8am that morning) so we could not move room until a certain receptionist is in at lunch time , lunch time comes and we go to reception and ask again to be moved room , this time the attempt is successful and we are moved to the adults only block , this room is a lot better than the first room however it is no where near a 4* slandered , it has no fridge and the safe you have to pay £25 for is movable , and initially didn’t work so the young maintenance lad goes and takes a working safe from another room and replaces the broken one with said working safe.

The pictures below are of the second “better” room.

The room was only cleaned once in the whole week we were there and we had to request toilet roll etc as and when needed as it wasn’t readily provided on a regular basis.

It is nothing like the pictures what so ever , the rooms are dirty , the food is near inedible with an awful selection. And the drinks are foul , I stuck to soft drinks the whole time even though we were all inclusive and we ate out everyday.

Most definitely not a 4* hotel.

P.s they write their own trip advisor reviews.

My family and I arrived at Mersoy Bellavista just before midnight on 9/8/22 to be shown to a room which barely opened until you used your shoulder. It smelled like it was full of smoke, or as if someone had just finished smoking in it, and this heavy, unbearable smoke feeling on the lungs was just the start. Upon closer inspection, the bedding and pillows were dirty, full of hair, black stains, a shoe-print and different types of insects. The corners of the rooms were full of enormous cobwebs with numerous spiders in them, and it is almost as if the room has not been cleaned in an eternity. It certainly wasn't the mountain/land-view that was advertised, as outside of the room's glass door on this bottom floor we had a cement wall, in what appeared to be a basement room. The furniture and fridge were broken, and we were advised if the lights did not work, then we should play around with the fuse box to get them to work.

We had spoken to the reception staff, but they told us that they were unable to do anything, and that we would have to wait for the manager who would be in the next morning. In which case, we stayed in this room of horrors all night. However we had not slept due to the above conditions, instead, opting to stay standing all night until morning came.

The next morning, we spoke to the manager, who had told us that there are no other rooms, so he could get the room cleaned, but otherwise, there are 'no other options'. Due to the unacceptable conditions experienced in that room, we contacted OnTheBeach which is the website we booked the hotel through, and we reached a lovely lady who promptly contacted the hotel and got us clean and more reasonable rooms within a few hours.

Otherwise, the WiFi was mostly unusable, working only in certain locations for us, such as the corridors and near reception. The TV was mainly static, the food was not great but edible. There were no evening entertainment events at all during our stay, nor a billiards table as advertised.

The town itself is lovely, the view around the hotel itself is beautiful, the restaurant/bar staff were nice and helpful, and the rooms we were given after contacting OnTheBeach were reasonable, and after this, the holiday went okay. This was despite losing a nights sleep and spending the majority of the next day trying to fix this issue. Appears to be poor management, and a lack of care for those staying at this hotel.

Looking at the reviews, we noticed someone was given the exact same room as us back in July (based on the pictures) and gave a 1-star rating. The hotel replied that they will look into the condition of this room, but by the looks of it, nothing had happened. Whilst at reception across our stay, we noted someone who was given a room next door to us on that first night complaining of cleanliness, and two other families also complaining of similar issues.

It seems it is a game of chance, as to whether you get a reasonable room, or one of their nightmare rooms detailed above or on some of the other reviews.

I don't normally contribute to Reviews, but felt compelled to do so after my recent week in The Mersoy Bellavista Hotel in ICMELER.
The Hotel is split into Two Blocks and divided by a small road. It is situated on he main street and close to the beautiful promenade.
The Hotel is very dated and would not be 4 star, rather 2. I feel. I learnt that the Hotel is to be closed at the end of October, which may have impacted upon Staff morale.
One lift was broken for several days and upper floor access presented problems for those less nimble.
The rooms were small and very dated, nevertheless they were cleaned daily and fresh towels left.
Sound insulation was poor and conversations could be heard in the next room. Corridor noise was also very loud.
Food was very poor and most tended to avoid eating in the Mersoy, preferring to eat elsewhere instead.
There was no entertainment programme and repetitive music was relayed over the Tannoy daily.
The bar staff were friendly, but seemed to be motivated mainly by financial incentives.
The choice and quality of Alcohol was poor.
I wouldn't recommend this Hotel to those seeking a 4 Star experience and would rate it somewhere between 1-2 Stars.
I returned home on Saturday 22nd of October.
I hope you find this helpful?

Me and my 2 friends decided to spend 5 nights at this hotel, expecting a 4* experience and receiving a 2* experience if you're lucky. We arrived and were shown to a very basic but clean family room, the shower had good pressure but the tap was a dribble. The adult only pool was lovely, it was the only reason we stayed and didn't try and find another hotel. There are big day beds and it is a very relaxed lovely environment. The music is played through youtube on a very old laptop and speaker, wasn't too impressed but my friends and I were too relaxed to care. The bar at the adult only side is laughable. Very poor selection of drinks and we ended up not getting much at all, despite paying all inclusive, because there was nothing nice. The food was very disappointing, very small buffet with very limited and samey choices every day. My friends and I decided to eat out nearly every night, the surrounding area is amazing for cheap, great food. I suggest down at the beach, there are amazing places with sensational service! But, we had not anticipated the spending of this - paying for all inclusive you expect to eat most night in the hotel - so we had to use our bank cards to survive happily. The company around the pool during the day was lovely, with a lot of Scottish and English people. We had great chat and everyone agreed the standard was disappointing, I think nearly everyone said 'This place has the potential to be amazing'! It really really does, but no TLC has been put into service or just basic things.
I had 2 massasges, they were amazing. Spa is the best thing about that hotel. So many positive reviews around the pool and I gave the lovely lady a big tip after each of my full body massages because it's the best I've ever had.

All in all, my genuine advice to you is - don't book here unless you are happy with 2*. Icmeler is a fantastic location with lots of night life and fun things to do, but we felt let down by being catfished into thinking we were paying for a 4* experience. I am just happy that my friends and I were too chill to let it ruin our trip. We were just appreciative to be away from Scotland and spending time together. I do believe that many of the reviews on here are written by the hotel staff, which makes me sad. Hope this helps some people because I know how confused I was when reading the reviews before I visited!

Dear Sir, Thank you so much for your detailed review which will help us improve our services. Thanks for praising the pool area as a very relaxed lovely environment. I do understand your disappointment on the food. We serve Turkish food and a lot of vegetables. Unfortunately, if you are expecting English food, I agree with you. However, as Turkish food, we have a lot of varieties, salads etc. and almost no Turkish guests complained from the food bc they are used to this kind of food and varieties. However, I understand your disappoinment and my apologies for that. We also have BB option so anyone who is willing to have Bed and Breakfast are more than welcome to do so and enjoy the very nice pool environment. Best Regards,
