Nine bars in the hotel serve local and international branded drinks throughout the day. These include poolside and beach bars so you can enjoy a drink while relaxing on your lounger. The hotel organises regular evening entertainment, such as live music and karaoke, or you can let your hair down at the in-house nightclub.

We stayed here at the beginning of August for 1 week. There were 3 adults and 4 children booked in 2 separate rooms.
Opon arrival we were kindly upgraded and placed in rooms near each other on the ground floor just by the 2 pools and splash park. This was very much appreciated and really helped to make our holiday enjoyable.
The rooms were great and decorated really nice. I was nervous about the shower ‘wall’ before I got here but once I tried it out I realised it wasn’t see-through and you can still have complete privacy!
Waking up early the day after we arrived to see the sunrise and the beautiful scenery was fab! We were all so excited.
Rachel from the hotel kept intouch on watsap which was great as she helped us with anything that we needed. I found this a nice warm touch.
The location of the hotel is stunning, I would have explored more if it was just the 2 of us and also if corona wasn’t around but this didn’t stop me enjoying our holiday.
We walked to Iclemer and back which was a nice walk but harder with kids!
The pools, beach and water park area were all great and nice to have so close by.
The entertainment area was brilliant too, I really liked the set up, all open air and very impressive. We loved the movie night and the singers. I also loved sitting on the beach at night time listening to the singer from the Blue bar! This was so relaxing!
The food situation was different due to the current restrictions so I can’t complain, but I think the little signs stating what the food is should be made larger as it was difficult to know what was on offer and when there is a big que behind you, you just want to be as quick as possible so I think this would help.
I did however enjoy the food especially the deserts. We had very fussy eaters in our group but once we spoke to the staff they did everything to help and listened to our requests which we were very grateful for.
I was happy with the cleanliness of the hotel, our rooms were spotless. The communal areas around our pool could be cleaner but I think this may have been down to a reduction in staff. This didn’t spoil our holiday and we could see that the staff here were hard working and very busy.
Jet2holidays were not running any trips whilst we were here, however we booked a pavilion for a day and also booked locally a boat trip to Turtle Beach and the Dalyan mud baths. I would recommend both.
Overall I would definitely recommend Orka Lotus to anybody reading this.
Bring your camera, get up early to watch the sunrise, explore as much as you can and enjoy relaxing in this stunning location!

Just returned from a 10 night stay at the Orka and loved it.
As others have said, it was a different experience due to Covid restrictions, but the hotel did really well in my opinion.
Badly organised transfer from Dalaman to the hotel by Tui, but check in efficient, temp checks etc. Stayed in room 5205 which had a fantastic terrace and view, well worth the upgrade.
Food is basically buffet restaurant and two Al a Carte - as always with buffet food it gets pretty repetitive, but was plentiful and decent quality, food was served to you by a member of staff and whilst this was a little awkward at times, it had to be done.
Tried the Chinese and Turkish al a carte restaurants and found them ok if not great.
Pool bar wasn't our scene tbh, but did have a drink or two there, special mention to Cyril, who was always smiling and helpful.
Big thank you to the staff in the main restaurant, especially Fikre, Nurevie(?) and many others who always made time for us and put up with my terrible attempts at Turkish.
Covid made things different and it was a shame to see the amount of plastic being used.
Beach was the star of the show, cleaned continuously by a big guy , sorry didn't get his name, sunbeds pretty much available, pontoon and jetty to catch the last of the suns rays in the afternoon.
Booze was a disappointment, not sure if there was an alcoholic content!
Hired a cabana one day and alos went for one next door at the Icon, bit pricey but worth it!
Had a great shave and bread trim from Birol, thanks.
Location of the hotel is perfect, 10-15 minute walk to Icmeler and water taxi to Marmaris from the next door hotel, taxi cost 50 TL boat or car.
The Blue Bar was lovely, live music, perfect views and nice and cool. Went to a welcome meeting there and met Rachel, Customer Service Manager who was lovely, and offered us a late check out on the house!
We weren't sure what this holiday was going to be like, but it was far better than we could have imagined, there are lots of things the hotel could do better, but they are faced with this crisis and they are doing pretty well.

Teşekkür ederim

Our 10-14 july accomodation was a very nice experience. However, I had read some terrible and recent comments before my arrival. So, After our holiday, i felt the need to show the truth from our perspective since some comments were really unrightful. To make the review more informative, here are some pros and cons.

Pros
1.covid-19 measures were tight (Despite the ignorance of some guests). Even pens and room keys in the reception are being sanitized after each use.
2.Meals and bevarages were fine.
3.Personnel were helpful and respectful. Not everything was perfect of course but any problem was dealt with straigthaway if you tell someone.
4.Ala carte restaurant needs specific praisal with delicious dishes and blue bar deserves emphasize with magnificent view and interior design.
5.Beach design was great with lots of sunbeds and large umbrellas.

Cons
1.Personnel numbers need to be a little bit higher. Especially in the pine main restaurant, waiters have hard time catching up with the orders.
2.There are some other minor issues but no need to mention with respect to the pros.

In overall evaluation, its great value for the money. In hotel, i heard the chatting of Some fools comment about the absence of premium quality whiskey for example. Let me tell you, Ballentines and Jameson was included in the concept. If you are after only premium stuff, you need to pay more and go to a premium hotel (filter by price from high to low :))).

Check in was quick, they sanitise your bags outside, check your temperature and fill out a COVID form. We asked for a map and was given one.We arrived around 3am. Our room was in block 6 and the sea view room was worth the money. The settings at this hotel are great and the location really makes it. Sun beds are generally reserved in the morning however, when we asked staff on the beach if any were free they started to remove towels that had been there unused to make available for those wanting them. Sun beds at the beach generally became free around lunchtime but the pool was clearly first come first serve 😂 staff were fantastic and there were some language barriers but was never a problem as those who didn’t speak English directed you to those who could, don’t think it’s fair to judge staff on not knowing English when there’s many nationalities staying at the hotel 😊 Icmeler only a 15 minute walk away and can rent electric scooters or bikes for 10 euro an hour which you can go to Marmaris with too. Pavilions are definitely worth it, drinks, food, snacks all brought straight to you all day and very private. Food wasn’t great, went to the Chinese Alcarte and the food was bland and not up to standards to be honest😂 the buffet restaurant was okay depends what type of food you like really(wouldn’t recommend for fussy eaters)not really the hotels fault that due to COVID we must wear masks and stand a certain distance away from food, something that must be done. Agreeing with another review, the amount of plastic used was shocking with the tubs, straws and bottles and seeing them in the sea too! Just to note that our flight on the way home was not until 1am and you can pay to stay in the room past check out time (11am) however, you won’t know until 10am on the day you leave, we were not able to stay so felt like we lost a day due to being limited on what we could do. It’s 50euro to stay until 4pm or 70 until 8pm. Transfer to hotel and airport takes between 90 minutes-120 as some people on our bus were unaware of how long it took. Room was cleaned every day, a button next to door in room let’s you choose whether you want it cleaned or not, towels are only changed if you leave them on the floor and the mini bar is only restocked on Thursdays unless you ask.

First off the location is wonderful, great views, easy reach to icmeler and also Marmaris, both walkable if you have no walking difficulties.

A lot of people are/were complaining about the food, I could honestly say we didn’t have a bad meal, yes the food was lukewarm, nothing hot plates couldn’t solve, but found everything well cooked, ( and what all inc serves red hot food, in any country). Drinks in blue bar were fab ( you have to pay for premium) pool bar, you could get cocktails as well, unlike the beach bar, but was adequate, bar at adult pool was self service.

We spent most of our time on the beach, lovely shingle beach, clear water, we used the adult pool once, couldn’t get sunbeds around main pool, And didn’t use water park.

I would say overall the hotel is a solid 4*, wouldn’t take much to get another star, there is parts of the hotel that need some tlc, which I’m sure will be done on the off season., the hotel is big and confusing, some sort of map would help, quite a few of the sunbeds need replacing/upgrading.

Found the hotel clean, maids did a great job, staff cleaned the table every time in bars or restaurants.

All in all we had a wonderful time, pavilion is well worth it, staff were fabulous, would we return, yes possibly, glad we came, we love Turkey, so thank you for having us 😁👍

I'm sitting in reception now waiting for my cab to the airport and although we had a great two weeks this hotel is certainly not 5*.
Great views and helpful staff but the hotel in general is very tired and in places a bit grubby.

Rooms aren't cleaned very well, i don't think our bathroom was cleaned properly the two weeks we were here, long queues for food and it was often cold.
Also bit of a pain that very few staff speak any English.

View at the pool is amazing but zero chance of a sunbed unless you're up at 6am putting towels out.
Beach is lovely but again no chance of a sunbed unless you're up before sunrise.

We ended up eating out often to avoid queues for dinner and cold food which isn't too bad there are some really good restaurants in Icmeler and very cheap too.

Love Turkey and we had a nice holiday but wouldn't recommend the hotel or visit here again unfortunately, visited Oludeniz last year and everything was amazing so we'll be back there again next year.

We arrived late at night to be shown to a room that was in a block resembling a prison, looking right on to the balconies opposite with no sunlight whatsoever, be aware that if you book a promotional room this is what you could end up with. we asked to be moved next morning and were shown to a sea view room which was much better.
Now on to food : We went to breakfast and had to queue up and have your temperature taken which is good but when you get to the food it is all in containers that you can't see into with tiny signs on them that you can't read because they are so small so you end up with things on your plate that you don't want. The actual food is stone cold and on the couple of mornings I tried the bacon was almost raw. We survived on doughnuts and croissants for breakfast because that was the only thing we felt safe eating. .We ended up eating out every day and spent a fortune on food for 9 of us.
Cleanliness: The hotel is not cleaned properly at all, the soup ladles and tureen filled with soup are left sitting on the counter from the night before and there are flies are buzzing round them. I don't know how this hotel managed to get a Covid secure certificate to open, no masks in hotel grounds or social distancing, sunbeds, tables at pool never cleaned. The touch points in the hotel such as lift buttons, hand rails etc are never cleaned. The bedrooms are not cleaned properly either, beds are made and that's about all. The floors are not swept, bathrooms are never cleaned, toilet rolls are rationed to one a day if you are lucky.
We complained to Guest Relations and our Jet2 rep and were offered a pavilion as a good will gesture, this turned out to be little more than a shack that would hardly fit 4 people never mind the 9 in our party. We left after about 5 minutes and never returned to it.
This hotel markets itself as a 5 star hotel but apparently it lost it's 5 star status in 2015 and has never regained it. At the moment it would be lucky to be a 3 star, Would not return,

I was a bit worried about what to expect when I came here because whilst the hotel has had a lot of good reviews there were some awful reviews as well. To be honest, now I struggle to see whether the people that were critical were generally talking about the same hotel. I decided before I left that I wanted to upgrade to a sea view room and called the hotel to ask for this. I was told that the hotel was not just full, but over-booked(!). That said I was told that they would do their best to get me a different room the day after I arrived. So you can imagine my pleasure when I arrive to find that not have I been allocated a sea view room but it is one of the best, on the top floor in the middle of the hotel. Breathtaking is the only word for the views and you would be quite happy spending time chilling out. The staff work their cotton socks off and I think it's totally unreasonable to come to Turkey and expect all the staff to speak fluent English. They all have enough to get your needs met. This is my first time to Turkey and I have been struck by just how friendly and warm the vast majority of the people are. I felt very safe here and Icmeler is a lovely, well-kept, small, sleepy town about a 10 minute walk from the beach along the pretty coastal path. Some people have mentioned that food was lukewarm. I didn't really find that the case with lunch and dinner and if you arrived at the start of each meal then there would hardly be any queues. I found there to be a decent amount of choice and variety, although I did eat out a few times and it's inexpensive, with great quality and portion size - probably 40% of the price of eating out in the UK. I would recommend Ida restaurant in Icmeler. There were some great live bands that the hotel put on. I didn't have any issues with sleeping. Yes, you did hear people getting up for breakfast but that's to be expected. Air condition was ace and not that noisy. Some of the furnishings in the hotel area starting to look a bit tired but I was really not bothered as it was a 5 star experience for me and you could easily pay twice as much or more elsewhere in Turkey. I would definitely like to come back.

After booking back in January, long before Covid, we really didn't expect our holiday to go ahead but are so glad it did. On arrival our bags were sanitised and we were quickly checked in and shown to our rooms. Some reviews say they weren't given any info about the hotel on check in but we were given meal times and info sheet. For everything else you want to know you can ask guest relations or you can just go and have a good look around and get to know the place like we did.We booked an interconnecting family room with sea view and got exactly that with the most amazing view. Rooms were big with tv in each room and plenty of storage.Mini bar filled with juice, water and beer on arrival and replenished with juice and water each day. Water park was great fun for all of us and kept both my boys age 10 and almost 16 happy, the lifeguards were always happy especially Tolga and worked hard to ensure everyone had fun. There was a couple of broken tiles/grids around the pool area and some of the wooden decking could probably do with replacing to smarten it up and make sure it is safe. We weren't expecting much from the entertainment due to Covid but were impressed with what we got, especially the Turkish night and live music. The animation team were friendly and encouraged you to join in without being too pushy, we enjoyed sea gym with Merve. The views at the hotel were stunning and we particularly enjoyed a g&t at the Blue Bar and the live music there on a Monday night was excellent. Food was a little hit and miss but probably just due to the Covid adjustments. Normally you'd have a look at what was on offer before making your choice, but small signs on food and the queuing system made it difficult to do this so sometimes your plate was full only to see something better but you couldn't be bothered to queue again. On occasions some food wasn't very hot but if that happened I usually went to the outdoor bbq which was always good. Particularly want to mention Kadir in the restaurant who always made sure we were looked after and gave us excellent service, what a lovely man. We enjoyed a Turkish bath and massage in the spa and our friends little girl had her hair braided. Despite this the hairdresser guy was quite persistent and kept trying to persuade my friend to have her eyebrows microbladed and actually said we needed to spend some money with him too when we told him we'd already had a spa treatment. On the whole, we had a super time and it would be nice to return in normal times to see how the food is normally.

On the whole our experience was positive with a couple of minus points.
We received a warm welcome and found most of the staff throughout the hotel friendly and helpful. Our sea view room was very clean and was cleaned every day with fresh towels, the bedding was changed once in our 10 night stay. I would really recommend doing an up grade for a sea view.
In the main restaurant you have your temperature taken before entering and you have to wear your mask, the cards that tell you what is in each container could be a bit bigger as they were hard to read when you are a distance away. You are met by a member of staff who walks the length of the room dishing out anything that you want and doing their best to help you decide.
There was a large choice of food for breakfast, I don’t eat a warm breakfast but there was plenty to choose from, for cold breakfast there was doughnuts, croissants and pastries, cereals, biscuits, Turkish delight, bread and jam/honey, pancakes, yoghurt, dried fruit, melon then cheeses, ham and salad.
We mostly ate in the main dining room for lunch and dinner and the choice was similar for both meals. There was a good choice but unfortunately by the time you had chosen your food and got back to your table much of it was lukewarm although it was very tasty.
We always managed to get a sun bed wherever we wanted to sit luckily we are fairly early risers as people were out at 7ish putting towels out. My only negative at the pool was that the tables were not wiped down and spilt drinks not cleaned around the sun beds which left a sticky floor.
We treated ourselves to a pavilion for the day, such a nice treat, very comfy sun beds, comfy sofas in the shade, steps into the sea and butler service for the day.
Evenings were more than adequate considering the restrictions that are in place. The blue bar was lovely with some live music a few times. The main arena held a magic show, a bubble show, bingo, karaoke then twice a week a white party with a DJ. There was Turkish and Chinese restaurants open during our stay, we only went to the Chinese, the food and service were outstanding.
We love Turkey and usually holiday elsewhere in Turkey, this was our first time to this area and hotel and would definitely return someday.
