My husband, our friend, and I stayed here in the Cedar Cabin. The pro's: - If you're looking for solitude, this is the place. Quiet as a church, deep in the woods. - Easily sleeps the four people we planned to have there. - Full kitchen with a full-size fridge, microwave, toaster oven, ancient (but functional) stove/oven with dishes and...

My husband is in the military and was home for a brief time. We decided to make the most of it with a romantic getaway to Ranier. We thought a private cozy cabin in the mountains all to ourselves would be perfect! Maybe a long day of hiking Paradise ending with some peace and quiet relaxing next to a crackling...

It's too bad about these old reviews. I came on here to give this place a big thumbs up! The place has new managers and looks like they have been working really hard. I've stayed in the small lodge and the Chalet and have no complaints. The Chalet has an amazing amount of beds, I came up with a very...

We were at the chalet in late Feb 2012; three adults, two small kids, and a dog. I'll start positive: The chalet is an a-frame style cabin with great windows and natural light. It is big and has beds to sleep tons. There is a working sauna. The heater kept it as warm as we wanted. We could bring the...

Great location, close to the entrance of Mt Rainier National Park. The people are very nice and helpful. But the cabin itself is not kept in good condition, very dated - the furnishing, the installation and worst the bathroom - we could not bring ourselves to use the shower and left one day earlier. In spite of everything the heater...

Stayed in the small lodge 22 DEC for one night with wife and 3 children. Rented it because of the pool table and games and stuff. Don't let the pictures on the website fool you, this building is VERY old and in serious need of repair. It smells like gas / old carpets when you walk in. Most of the...

It's a great deal for the money, historic charm with lots of acres to explore right on the property, and a great "base" for exploring the National Park. We love this lodge and have come numerous times with different groups of friends and by ourselves. The cabins and lodges are no-frills but comfortable and simple. Booking was easy. Love the...

Should have read the reviews. This place is not what we expected at all. If we had been going with a "camping" attitude, I don't think we would have been as surprised. Nothing's been updated since the 70's and I think that might include the electrical wiring. A little scary when the light flickers every time you get near the...

Four of us in a the Chalet, accommodating around 20 at first seemed a bit out of balance. But we had a great stay. Nice fire, choice of beds. Good kitchen. Could do with a wider array of pots and pans.

My family has been long time visitors to the Lodges over the past 5 yrs. After reading the other posted reviews I felt I need to respond. While there have been times the grounds were collecting old farm machinery and in a bit of disrepair I must say after our 4th of July visit that things have vastly improved. A...

“Maybe try one of the other cabins which have much better reviews and steer clear of the Cedar Cabin.”

“If renting the family cabin: if you are going to make a fire in the fireplace, MAKE SURE the vent is all the way open. We did not open it all the way and it filled the place with smoke the first try. So make sure you really shove it all the way open. No matter what cabin you rent: if in the winter months, make sure you request that the heat be turned on 1 hour prior to your arrival time so the cabin is all warm for you when you get there. It takes a while to heat up :) We recommend keepin the kids room of the family cabin closed with a blanket shoved against the bottom of the door because a cold draft flows into the livingroom through it, and that will keep that cool air out.”
