We stayed here for one night on 16 Nov 2021; I had booked a few weeks in advance and got a great rate of around £38 for the room, we added on £9.50 each for breakfast at The Beeches opposite - the breakfast was excellent as was dinner on the night we arrived, I would recommend it if you are staying, drinks prices were also good value.

We arrived about an hour early early and the reception staff were able to allow us to check in early which we were really pleased about as we had had a long drive. The room was clean with everything we needed for a short stay - the bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water in the powerful shower and soft and fluffy towels. A hairdryer was provided and there was a few mirrors - one full length, another with a backlight perfect for putting on my make up and another large one in the bathroom.

Our room was upstairs looking over the rear car park and was quiet and peaceful and we slept well, the window has a restricted opening but opens enough to let in some fresh air. The heating controls were easy to use and we were able to easily adjust them to the temperature we chose.

If you are thinking of booking I would recommend this Premier Inn but try to book as early as you can to get a great rate.

We have stayed at this Premier Inn for as long as I can remember and there are still staff working there as in the Beeches. This time though we ended up with a double bed rather than king size which was stifling so shall make sure that is not the case next time.
The rooms are immaculate and clean and although there is no room service if you are staying more than one night, reception have everything you would require such as fresh towels, tea, coffee & milk etc., The Beeches is one of the best restaurants we have come across attached to a Premier Inn. The food is absolutely lovely and staff very helpful.

Great for a short 2/3 day break which we do a couple of times a year.

Highly recommend it.

Sparklingly clean, spacious and thoughtfully equipped room and bathroom.
There's a hairdressing mirror with shelf, sockets and lights (see photo), so no nasty overheating hairdryer in the bathroom and no crawling around trying to find a plug near a mirror. It's the detail that counts.
The only negative was it was hot (heatwave), there's no AC and the windows only open an inch cos we were on the ground floor.
Great stay overall

My wife and I are regular guests of this hotel which is streets above the competition in four main areas.
1) Fantastic insulation. Despite there being a fairly busy road alongside, you can’t hear any noise from outside, or from neighbouring rooms, or even the plumbing or the corridor.
2) Clean, comfortable, spacious, adequately furnished bedrooms with flat screen TVs, very comfy beds and quality bedding.
3) Pleasant, helpful and efficient reception staff.
4) Very reasonable prices.
In addition, there is a very good restaurant alongside (The Beeches) offering good quality drinks, meals and snacks at reasonable prices. The “as much as you can eat” breakfast is awesome.
To summarise, guests are assured a comfortable and enjoyable stay, with an undisturbed night’s sleep.
Note: The hotel is on two floors and there does not appear to be a lift, so if you don’t or can’t do stairs, it might be advisable to request a downstairs room if available. Also, take care when leaving the hotel grounds. The main road is quite busy with fast-moving traffic, and visibility is obscured.

Very difficult for the staff with covid restrictions still in place but everyone seemed to go about their duties with a smile and always made time to chat with customers. Rooms were fine but the heat made it not a great nights sleep for me also the hotel is very quiet at night which is nice.We had booked the meal deal which was very good value and enjoyed two very nice mixed grills and cooked breakfast in the morning.

I have lost count of the number of budget hotels I have stayed at over the last 10-15 yrs on business (& social) travel.
I have to say this is the cleanest and smartest I have ever stayed in.
Looked like any other Prem Inn from the car park but immaculate inside and incredibly helpful staff who really did make you feel that nothing was too much trouble.
The breakfast in the adjoining pub was likewise of excellent standard, full English made to order & as much as you wanted to order.
Our travelling companions (met up for family event in Chester only 15 min away) had a similar experience.
Well done Premier Inns for coming through the last 18 months of C-19 and Well Done Wrexham North for setting such a high bar for future budget hotel stays to match. If staying in the locality in the future, only one choice of venue.👏👏👏

Lovely welcome to the hotel by the receptionist. The hotel itself was in a really convenient location for my trip, just off a major roundabout going into Wrexham. The room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. The restaurant was right next to the hotel and the evening meal was tasty at a very reasonable price. We hadn't booked before we arrived at 6pm but were able to get a table for 8pm. The room was very hot, particularly with 4 people in it but it had said that on the website when I booked and the receptionist also pointed out no air conditioning on arrival. We could have opened the window and there was a fan in the room though. Breakfast was served at the table. Due to covid the buffet wasn't on. I got exactly what I asked for. It had clearly been pre made but that's what I would expect with a buffet breakfast anyway so it wasn't wasn't issue.

Always use Premier Inns for a few nights near our final location before our actual holiday and was very disappointed that this one wasn’t one of the best.
Room was fairly clean as expected, bathroom had mould issues but we soon realised this was due to the extractor fan not working as it should be which left the bathroom soaked for the rest of the day and night when used.
The heating in the room also didn’t work so it was freezing on the first night! I did bring this up with reception in the morning and they offered a portable heater which took the edge off the coldness but in winter the heating should be working.
Bed was also the noisiest bed we’ve ever staying in at a Premier Inn, you literally rolled over and it sounded like you were jumping on it.
We had breakfast both mornings, staff were really friendly but the food wasn’t the best.
Won’t put us off booking another Premier Inn in the future just disappointing when you don’t have the best stay.

What we like about Premier Inn is that there are no nasty surprises (lumpy beds, dribbling showers, luke-warm water, tatty furnishings!). Beds are large and super-comfy, shower hot and good pressure, room spic and span. Rooms don't have air-conditioning, but we kept the window open and there is minimal noise. Reception staff really friendly and allowed us to store our luggage in their office on our departure day.
