Staff are uninterested in the problems. Balcony door did not lock which could be a problem if you are here with children. It was a room on the first floor. The toilet seat was broken which proved difficult when using te toilet. Food was buffet style and an Ok range but, as in all the hotels and restaurants in Cubs,... More

Jaqua Hotel owns two smaller hotels that look more like homes, across the street from the high rise. If you are not happy with your rooms at Jaqua, inquire about this option. The rooms at these facilities are updated, there is a bar, a quaint meeting area behind the hotel that over looks the sea, a whirlpool, and lounging chairs... More

My daughter and I stayed here for a few days while on a tour. The grounds and the lobby are very nice. However the rooms are not so good. The bed was hard and the pillow was flat. The blankets looked like army blankets. Not many amenities but there was a hairdryer. The breakfast buffet was all self serve, coffee... More

After our hotel in Havana this one was a welcome change. Spacious and airy throughout, good sized room, comfortable and clean. Whilst not being new it feels more modern, and the location is great. Try having cocktails on the roof of the palace opposite, they have live music and its a good view of sunset.

If this is the only hotel you can book in Cienfuegos then you should just skip this town altogether. I AM NOT EXAGGERATING. I'm probably just repeating many of the other 1-star reviews about this place but here we go. Broken toilet: the button to flush the toilet was missing. Black mold in the corners of the bathroom. No towel... More

I traveled to Cuba on a People to People visa through Group IST and Variety Cruises. We were supposed to be on a sail boat, but it had mechanical problems. We ended up spending two nights with one lunch, two breakfasts and two dinners. The rooms are comfortable but basic. We had hot water (not always the case in Cuba).... More

I booked this hotel a day and I couldn't be more regret, the hotel supposed to be the best Cienfuegos hotel, 4 stars and merely we can give 2 stars regarding the services. The reception treatment as rude as you can imagine, my mistake speak in Spanish, an error in Cuba. I did more than 4 rounds (1 hour) reception... More

Good location, excellent pool. Potentially great but in reality not. Tired facilities and rooms badly in need of refurb. Bathroom had mouldy shower and broken toilet. Front desk staff disinterested with poor attitude. Overall not a good experience.

Hotel Jagua is a 1960s design style, so not very attractive in its external appearance. It seems to be the most modern hotel in Cienfuegos and isn't bad but not one you would rave about. Its reception area is very attractive and seems to have been modernised recently. Its bedrooms are quite dated and need some renovation. The bar area... More
