Just came back from 4 wonderful days at La Roulotte. Great personalized service and charming setting. The cabins were comfortable with easy to sleep in with beds which were larger than a double. The food was very good.and the portions large. There are lots of local activities to take advantage of in Mindo and the staff here will help you...

We spent a long weekend at La Roulotte May 24-26, 2013. It is a lovely place set in lush tropical garden with trees, flowers and streams. The cabins are made like wagons converted into comfortalble accomodation with large beds and high quality mattresses. The cabins are rather small but we were perfectly comfortable with our 2 kids (2 and 10...

La Roulotte is one of the most charming locations I have ever stayed at, with its incredibly generous and helpful staff and unique but very comfortable caravan-style rooms. The grounds are beautiful, with some small ponds and trails, and the location is nice--not too long of a walk out of town and very peaceful at night. The food at La...

La Roulotte is a great place to stay and feel very much at home. Great service and great food in a natural environment. I have been staying in Mindo for many years and this location is perfect for me. It is tranquil, within walking distance to the river and the butterfly habitat. The staff is very friendly and provides good...

We had a transport problem on our last day and Ignacio, one of the 3 owners, could not have been more helpful, anticipating the outcome and offering us a solution. He also supplied delicious sandwiches outside normal restaurant hours and made sure everything worked out well. All the food was terrific. From their website I had anticipated some difficulty, being...

Although we didn't stay here, we were recommended to eat at the restaurant by others who had stayed at La Roulotte. We were the only customers in the large dining hall and bar and were most impressed with the service offered by the manager/chef, Libardo Mora. The food was excellent (I had tliapia meuniere) and wine was OK. (Plenty of...

I really can't say enough about this place. The rooms are cute, the food is amazing, and the grounds are like a tropical paradise. There are birds everywhere. Blooming plants. Frogs in concert at night. The dining pavilion is an amazing raised open structure that gives views right into the foliage. There is also a pond and feeding stations. The...

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend, along with our 14 month old and 3 year old and has the most amazing time. This is a true gem, tucked away from all the hectic activities of Mindo, but close enough for you to partake as you please. The service is just wonderful, this is a family owned hotel...

La Roulotte is a true gem! We stayed there in January 2013 for three nights while we checked out the sights and did some hiking and (inexperienced) birdwatching. Frankly, we could have amused ourselves the entire time on the property, watching zillions of luminescent hummingbirds battle for dominance while snacking on freshly made whole wheat bread from the wood oven....

This place is tucked in the jungle. The little caravans are so cute yet comfy, they are perfect. There is plenty of hot water with proper water pressure. The staff is very friendly, they go all out of their way to meet your needs. The place seems to be very eco-friendly, we were told that it was built by a...

“The caravans are set up with two in one area and three in the other. We stayed where there were two and it seemed a bit more private. No wifi in rooms but is available in the restaurant common area. Setup for all the caravans appeared to be the same”
