I stayed at Casa de Piedra in March with my dad and sister. This was a "splurge" part of our trip--we opted to stay in one of the cabañas instead of a regular room. The cabaña was beautiful and worth the expense, which really wasn't that expensive compared to U.S. prices. Breakfast was included, and we were also free to...

The staff here are so sweet and accommodating. You're in the jungle so bring bug spray. The accommodations were very nice, and it was an easy walk to the heart of town. We would definitely stay here again

The gardens were lovely, there was a hammock to lounge in, the breakfast was abundant, and the host was friendly and helpful. The location was ideal, along a stream where I could watch local boys tubing, on my walk to the centre of Mindo, 5 minutes away. I spent a delightful three days there, and would gladly return.

Me and my girlfriend had a wonderful stay at Casa de piedra. It was definitely top 3 of all the hostels we've stayed at during this 3 1/2 month journey in south america. The owner, Henry, is so wonderful and genuine, he definitely cares about his visitors. For example, my camera and money were stolen during the bus ride to...

This lovely cottage-like hostel has a beautiful setting including pool and lovely gardens. No need to get up before the crack of dawn for birding trip as many hummingbirds and birds can been seen in this garden. A 2 minute walk into town and the El Quelzal chocolate tour. Lovely for an overnight stay from Quito. Stay longer if you...

We spent seven wonderful days. The grounds are beautiful. You are only a three minute walk from the Main Street but you feel like you are in the country side. There's a real nice river right next to the property. It is quiet. The room we were in had lots of windows which provided great scenery for when we were...

We had a great time at Casa De Piedra swinging in the hammocks, enjoying the views, and resting in between Mindo adventures. The owner is so incredibly helpful, giving tips about all things Mindo. I would recommend people buy tours from him, he doesn't hike up the price (in fact, the Mariposario was cheaper!), and he uses the money to...

Henry is the charming and extremely helpful manager of this property. We really enjoyed our three nights here, The free standing chalet (no neighbours!) we had was situated at the end of the lush garden. Clever mosquito netting meant that we could sleep with the windows open, free of any bugs. Having said that, there were not many insects around...

My son and I spent two nights at Casa de piedra, Henry was very welcoming and spoke a very good english. We stayed in a small house near a lttle stream wich was our good night lullaby song at night among the frogs singing their joy since it was raining... The included breakfast was fantastic with plenty of fruits, fresh...

The owner Henry and his staff went out of their way to accommodate our family of 6. Super clean, grounds were beautiful and the rooms were simple but good. Beds were comfortable. Walking distance to food, shopping and the Hummingbirds. People were friendly and so helpful to recommend where to eat and what to see.
