I don't think there's a better way of experiencing the Amazon rainforest than what we had here. Apart from actually roughing it in the jungle but that's for a different league altogether. And even so, the amount of wildlife (birds, monkeys, sloths, amphibians, ...) you...More
we really enjoyed our stay, recommend paying a little extra to have your own private guide. This way you can do as much or as little activity as you like. We had some excellent walks, long, through the jungle.More

Just tell the Lodge your limitations and they will place you in a group who don’t want to do too much hiking. Most of it is in a canoe and even the hikes through the jungle were not too taxing. And everything is optional - if you find the morning activity enough, you can just skip the afternoon’s activity or arrange with the lodge to do bird watching instead. Hope this helps - if it’s been a lifelong dream, go for it. We absolutely loved our trip there and have made lifelong friends with our other group members.

Hello Pattyadm,
Unfortunately, no, we do not have any bathroom facilities aboard the motor canoe.
After the flight to Coca, there will be an opportunity to use the bathroom before boarding. The trip is about 2 1/2 hours long while traveling down the Napo River in a vessel that looks like a long motorized canoe.
Once you arrive to La Selva's private boat landing, you'll have another opportunity to visit a restroom. After this stop, it just a short walk and about another half an hour until you reach the lodge, which of course has all the facilities you need.
We hope this answers your question! Please contact us directly if you would like to have more information.
Warm regards,
