We stayed in Spellbound B&B for two nights only. Our room was clean and cozy with great view to the ocean. I want to say thank you to Alan and Barbara, for memorable stay. They really help us to see as many attractions as we can in short time we were in Hahei. Even borrow us a spade for Hot...

From the moment my wife and I arrived at Spellbound we felt completely at ease. Alan and Barbara are wonderful hosts. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts of homemade rolls and jams while we sat chatting to them at a table on their veranda looking over the blue sea. Even the butter was embossed with a kiwi. It was this attention to...

Spellbound Bed and Breakfast/Homestay We enjoyed our one night visit at the Spellbound B & B. Our hosts Allen and Kathleen were friendly, upbeat and very knowledgable about places to go and see in the area. Plenty of maps and brochures can be found in the common living room area. Accomodations were very comfortable. Breakfast menu was very good. Kathleen...

Dear Traveller, I departed from Spellbound 3 weeks ago and can honestly say it is a wonderful experience. Myself and my partner have spent 4 weeks travelling around NZ and Spellbound was in the top 2 b and b's. At 195, it is not inexpensive but this price is not unjustified either. Barbara and Alan are a lovely couple. I...

We came down from Russell from our first B&B in New Zealand and stayed for two nights. Spellbound Hahei is a two-storey house. The owners live upstairs and guests downstairs. We stayed at the left room with ensuite bathroom. In the middle of the lower area was a small reading, tourist information and TV room. Next two it was the...

After 3 weeks travelling around NZ we had chosen to stay in this area for some sun and relaxation before our flight back..we were not disappointed. Sorry it has taken so long to review. The setting and rooms were fabulous with the breakfast on the veranda not to be beaten (see photos). We were welcomed with tea and cakes and...

Spellbound is the place I will never forget. Driving from Auckland and around the North Island was a big fun but exhausted. Spellbound is a peaceful...

Excellent directions lead us the the front door of this B&B with it's wonderful views. A welcoming pot of and home made biscuits made us feel immediately at home. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. There is a guest sitting room in addition. Breakfast is full of homemade home grown ingredients and should meet all dietary requirements. Alan and...

Each of our stays in NZ was better than the previous one on our month long itinerary but Spellbound B&B is a special treat. Located in the small town of Hahei having a population of less than 600 we were hosted by Alan and Barbara and we felt at home from the time we entered the place. Freshly baked cookies...

Spent one night at Spellbound over Easter weekend. From the moment we arrived and were served tea and biscuits on the deck overlooking the water, we had an excellent experience. Our queen ensuite room had a view of the ocean & the morning sunrise. The prime location meant an easy morning walk to Cathedral Cove right from the B&B. The...
