We really liked our stay at Kauri Lodge Motel. It's close enough to walk easily to town and yet is quiet and peaceful. Very clean. Everything worked and was well maintained. The bed was great and we slept very well. Easy access in any direction by car too. The owners are wanting to sell and retire and yet they still...

My son and I chose this motel because it was low priced and looked very neat from outside. We were not disappointed. The lady was minding the motel for the owners and she was very professional and kind. The rooms were immaculate and had a kitchenette. I would very much recommend this motel to a tired traveller.

This accommodation is very clean and tidy although lost in the '70's. Very roomy and a typical motel style accommodation. We had the double family suite and it was spacious. There is no dishwasher but everything else you need. Great wifi and a laundry. Meticulously clean.

I loved my little unit, parked my car out front, single storey so no one walking above, had everything I needed heater, fan, tv, jug would have stayed longer if I could. The owners are selling but they were lovely and so helpful. Right near the I-site centre, park across the road. Very cute lodge

We took a room with two beds - very comfortable - tiny TV but adequate for our needs.Everything we needed was provided including a laundry room. People were lovely and the only "complaint" was a need for more power outlets in the kitchen. There were two outlets to be shared amongst a microwave, hotplates, a toaster and kettle. Mildly frustrating...

This is a fantastic place to stay en route to the Cape. We booked at the last minute and got the last spot on a busy holiday weekend. We had advised the owners that we would be arriving very late at night, so were told our room number ahead of time, and arrived to find the lights on, the sofa...

I stayed for two nights. This is not the first time by the way. The hosts Barry and Margaret go out of their way to make you welcome. Plus advice on sightseeing and eating places. The unit I had was spotless and equipped for three persons. Mine was a studio with plenty of space. Double bed plus a bed/settee for...

We stayed one night on the way back from the Cape. The motel was great for what we wanted, awesomely clean and tidy, free wifi, and a pool. Friendly and relaxed owners. We were a group of 5 and stayed in a family room.

This was our second time staying at Kauri lodge and whilst the motel is a 1970's design ...it is well maintained and very clean. The owners are friendly and whilst some of the decor and pool area could use a revamp....the beds and pillows are comfy and we love having the separate dining/kitchen area as well as a separate toilet!...
