Stayed here for one night, the room was a little tired, not too keen on the cinder wall. The bed was really comfy but the TV was the highlight it was massive! I had to wash the cups and glasses as I found they were really very unclean. The pub and garden was nice right next to the river and...

Almost the worst service I've ever experienced. Quiet Monday lunchtime - cold, unwelcoming, unfriendly staff rudely insisted my five year old go to the car to put shoes on, waitress got our order wrong twice and misinformed about allergies relating to the menu options. Only half of one dish was brought out but they charged my 80 year old father...

I needed a place to stay while on a business trip. The lodge is an old building and although clean, it is tired and worn. Heating was an oil fin heater that took a while to warm up. The lodge parking was taken over by pub guests and I had to park on the street which I was very unhappy...

We used this hotel as a quick stopover on our way back to Whangarei from Auckland, as we were driving very late (after the cricket semi at Eden Park !). They were very helpful in letting us pick up the key on our way through earlier in the day, and the room was decent, nice bed, nice bathroom all we...

We (3 rooms) had work in the Warkworth area and selected the Bridge House Lodge for our accommodation. The pricing for this part of the world was extremely reasonable (we paid $ 90,00 per room per night) - although would probably not pay much more than maybe $ 110,00 for the accommodation. The rooms (we had 3 up-stairs rooms (2...

I asked for a quiet room and was given a room on the ground floor near the front door where most people came in. It is an old building and you can hear every step the people above you take so it was very noisy at night. Our room was quite small and very dark with old dark furniture, we...

Not an auspicious start as they had no record of our booking which we had pre-paid (indeed he seemed to not even be aware of the website we booked with) but luckily I had printed it out. However he did "upgrade" us to an upstairs room. It was very cramped and extremely hot. There was no fan, just one window...

We stayed here just as a stopover. On arrival it seemed a bit unorganised and it took quite a while for the man who greeted us to find our room reservation. The room itself was fine and clean, if a bit on the warm side. It was nice having a fridge and the bathroom was a decent size. The decor...

The Bridgehouse Lodge had comfortable rooms, delicious food and extremely friendly staff. We stayed on an extremely busy Saturday night, however we were never neglected and were always polite. The manager went out of his way to assist us (in a polite manner which we are not use to seeing in our own city) when an unruly customer was pestering...

A friend had booked this establishment and I was somewhat diffident driving to the Lodge given the reviews I had read prior to going. I was pleasantly surprised. The check in staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was superb as was the service. My bed was very comfortable and I very much appreciated the en suite in...
