The place that make fox glacier meaningful on the raining day. Warm welcome. The owner is very kind. She showed me around her house with include chickens, sheep, many kinds of flower, and told me a lot of stories. Room is spacious and clean. One problem is no kitchen, but it's included homemade breakfast.

When we arrived at this homestay, we were greeted by a lot of free range chicken and the hosts, a very nice lady who takes care of the small farm, and her super friendly husband who is carving whole trees into beautiful tables (on one of them you have your breakfast setted, small ones are in the bathrooms of the... Welcoming, clean and well maintained, this is a piece of the country (complete with chickens and sheep) with a chance of your own space. We had three in a room and there was still space for our bags and to move ... a rarity for some spaces allocated for three. Would recommend.

Driving in we thought it might be a bit quirky... But we were incredibly happy with everything.. The room was clean and very comfortable as well as quite private. Colin and Trish welcomed us as if we were family and over the 2 days we stated we felt quite taken care of. Thank you Trish and Colin... We had a... More

The view from the breakfast table is enough to make you come back time and again. The host makes her own bread and pastries and is incredibly helpful with excursion planning and ideas. The rooms are clean and basic. We would go definitely go back if in the area.

We stayed one night in March of 2016. Colin and Trish were outstanding hosts. We arrived late in the afternoon after a long day of driving from Te Anau. Colin was coming into the yard and showed us where to park. Check in was very informal, but Trish immediately offered coffee or tea refreshments. It had been a long day... More

Greeted by extremely nice, attentive and hard working hosts. Amazing breakfast and comfortable stay. Recommend you come and enjoy this experience. They have multiple options, with privacy or joining a group as options.

Unlike most other places we stayed the family ate with us, it was good food, good wine and good company. We learnt about the hardship of living so far from anywhere, the 5 hour trip to the supermarket, the 12 hour trip to the hospital and Colin and Trish's granddaughter who was a nurse gave us some insight into health... We had to find accommodation at the last minute when our camper van broke down at Fox Glacier. We were really well looked after during our stay and although both my husband and I have stayed in a lot of fine hotels, this was the best breakfast we have had on any stay. Our room was lovely with stunning views... More

We stayed for one night in December. We arrived a bit early because of the not perfect weather. It was not problem for the hosts. Because not all rooms were booked we got upgraded to one of the cabins outside the main house. The room was large and the bathroom was huge. Decoration and furniture were good or excellent. The...
