The accommodation ticks all the boxes for a short stay. The food is really good quality and well priced in the bar for dinner and breakfast. We stayed in a dorm room, that was suited us fine, with ensuite and spacious room. The kitchen was huge and well stocked with kitchen equipment, and with a hot tub on site! Perfect... More

Last minute walk-in booking for a powered site for a night. Got one right next to the amenities block, although it took us a while to really locate the spot, it was marked out on a small rock on the floor. Very friendly staff. Dumping station and fresh water source is shared right next to the amenities block. Big kitchen... More

We stayed 2 nights as part of our active tour. We had a small cottage to ourselves in "geck village" at the resort. It was small, but very cute, comfortable and well done. Loved how they integrated the cottages into the natural environment. We also enjoyed a couple of meals at the restaurant onsite. Our only complaint is that we... More

The reception staff were great. Friendly and helpful with quite a few postcards we hadn't seen elsewhere. They also had a cat that was everyone's friend...have seen a few places with resident cats...but they dont go into accommodation. We had a room that was bordered by stairs, a gravel car park/driveway, the coach parking and the room upstairs. With all... More

We arrived in November after seeing Franz Josef Glacier, which is absolutely spectacular! We took refuge in the Monsoon Bar during a storm, looking for a hot coffee and the waitress was sat in the middle of the place smoking and chatting to her friend. Although it was open, we felt like we shouldn't be there and more of an... More

Great Hostel, very clean with lots of facilities, the rooms and bathrooms are very clean and modern. the bathrooms even had hairdryers and straightners for guests to use. the only down side to this hostel is it is where all the Kiwi experience, and stray bus tours stop, the only reason I say this is a down side is the... My wife and I stayed in a tree lodge here on our honeymoon on 4 November 2016. The desk staff at reception were friendly and the snoozing cat on the counter was a serious plus. Our view was of dense trees which was alright, but less grandiose than the view we expected. The shower and bathroom were nice and clean... More
