We stayed 2 nights at the Ribbonwood Retreat and loved it! The hosts were tremendous, warm and welcoming. The B&B is in a quiet location just 5 minutes out of town; it is spotless and has everything you could possibly need. Julie and Joe were very helpful with their suggestions as to what to visit after considering our interests and...

We stayed at Ribbonwood B&B for just one very comfortable night. We had our own beautifully decorated cottage with a king size bed and en suite bathroom. We went over to the main house for a wonderful home cooked breakfast in the morning. Julie made her specialty- a fresh fruit filled crepe and that was in addition to the home...

The house is spotless (they have a no shoes policy) and very comfortable, the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were great with produce from their garden. We would stay there again

We spent 2 nights with Judy and John that welcomed my wife, myself and our three children in a warm way. We stayed at their two very comfortable rooms upstairs with beautifull views. Breakfast was prepared at our children will and was very enjoyable. They were also very helpfull on providing insights for the rest of our trip.

We had 2 enjoyable nights at Ribbonwood on our recent trip to NZ making use of the upstairs Wahio Suite (2 rooms and a bathroom - accomodating 1 King , 1 Queen and a single). Having not stayed in a B&B previously, this setup worked well for our family requirements. Our hosts Julie and Jo couldn't have been more welcoming...

We stayed at this lovely B&B during our tour of New Zealand's South Island in October 2016. Our hosts, Julie and Jonathan gave us a warm welcome with drinks and home made cake and made us feel at home right away. They are great hosts - charming, entertaining and full of information and good advice about the area, its flora...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ribbonwood. Very comfy bed, lots of brochures and menus for local restaurants etc. We went to Alice Mays for dinner which was an easy choice to make with all the menus in our room. We really loved the large glass sliding door to the private deck off our room...was noce to lay in bed...

Our stay at Ribbonwood would not be better. The B&B and cottage are owned by Julie and Jonathan, two very gracious hosts who greeted us immediately with afternoon tea and wine upon arrival. While there, we benefited from the couple's extensive knowledge about the local area, the glacier, and the native New Zealand plants. While the room and cottage we...

Julie and Jonathan have created an excellent B&B near the Franz Josef glacier. I could not recommend their place enough -- great personalities, generous (a couple of beers and a tea upon arrival), and a superb location. The kids stayed in the main house and my wife and I inhabited the cottage -- try for that if its available as...
