This is our second time staying here. The first time (2014) we stayed in the Cedar Lodge Suite and this visit was the Ponderosa Cottage. Very friendly staff including the 4 legged staff members. This place is pet friendly (Ponderosa Cottage). Make sure to tell owner during reservations that you need a pet friendly room. Great views all around. The...

HI Wendy! And thanks for taking the time to share with others your experience here at McGregor. So glad to see that the CDOW has helped brat in his recovery and healing and he sure seems to be a lot happier these days. Hopefully that will give him at least a couple more years. May you and yours have a...

My new husband and I have been to Estes Park every year since 2011, this being the first time staying at McGregor. I don't know what took us so long! It was the little things that made it so special-chatting with the friendly staff every morning when getting my daily cup of coffee, playing with Bentley, Juniper, & Tanner, and...

Hey Guys! Thanks for taking the time to write a review about McGregor and your stay with us here. And...Happy Halloween to the both of you. Glad you found us, and can't wait to have you all back with again. The bears (we think) have finally laid down for the winter season. Brat has been back and gracing the property,...

This is the perfect place to stay while visiting Estes park Colorado and Rocky Mountain national park. It's just four miles from the parks entry. The people here are just wonderful and will help you with making your stay perfect. There is a variety of accommodation choices from cozy cabin for two with wood fireplaces to larger places for groups....

We stayed at McGregor Mountain Lodge for the second time. We had a 2 bedroom and 2 bath unit for 4 of us. It was very comfortable. The unit was clean and well maintained. The service was good. They provide fire wood every day for the fire place. There are parking spaces next to each cabin so it is very...

I spent 5 days at McGregor. This location was great for spending most of my time in RMNP; was also close to Estes when I wanted to drive into town. The cabin (room) I stayed in was 11b, very comfortable for 1-2 people. Only suggestion I have is to add a couple TV trays or a small foldable table. I...

This was our fortieth anniversary trip so we spent maybe a little more $$ than usual. This resort was well worth it. Our cabin (#5) was very nice. If we had our our own little vacation cabin in the woods it could be like this. Fireplace for the cool nights and kitchen to make a pot of coffee. Very clean....

Thanks for taking the time to write a review on McGregor and your recent stay here at the lodge. With our first snow happening over night, indeed the atmosphere of McGregor is starting to change from the hustle and bustle of the busy summer and fall season, into a more laid back pace of "cozy up by the fireplace with...

We found this place via tripadvisor and are so glad that we did. Why the five stars? First it is quiet and restful yet still nearby Rocky Mountain National Park. Next, the cabin, while designed as a cabin and not a luxury hotel, was very clean and comfortable and adequately appointed. We actually liked the wood cabin feel of it....

Thanks for taking the time to write a review of your recent stay with us here at the lodge. Last night, we had our first little skiff of snow of the season, and trail ridge road is temporarily closed and I'm sure will re-open for the weekend with temps swinging back into the 60's and maybe low 70's. Always fun...

One of our favorite places in the world. If you want to get away from it all and still have enough to do, this is a perfect place. Right next to the National Park for a gorgeous drive and photographers dream with beautiful wild life and great hiking trails. Clean rooms, amazing staff. We have got to go back soon!!!

Carla, So glad you enjoyed the views as much as we enjoy sharing them with you! This week, the aspens across the way on Deer Mountain are starting to show their golden splendor. We have also started hearing the Elk bugling (sometimes well into the early morning hours) as well. Few bears have been rambling through the property as well...

McGregor Mountain Lodge was chosen primarily because it is dog friendly. But what a great choice it was! Chris, one of the owners, personally escorted us to view the cabin before we checked in. My husband and I picked Rocky Mountain National Park for our mini-moon right after we got married in Boulder, and McGregor Mountain Lodge was the perfect rustic little home base for us (and you can't get any closer to the park gates!). Thanks for taking the time to write a review on your "mini-moon" at McGregor. The leaves across the way are just starting to turn yellow, and the Elk have already begun their bugling. Seems about 2 or 3 weeks early to me, but perhaps they know more than we do about this winter and the upcoming weather? Either way, this...

Enjoy the serenity of the Rocky Mountains with breathtaking views from each of our stand alone cabins, or fully equipped suites. All our units come with kitchens, and the newly renovated and well maintained cabins and suites also have wood burning fireplaces, private patios with BBQ for that summer's eve cookout, jetted bath tubs with access by reservation to our private hot tub. Adjacent to Rocky Mountain National Park (1/2 Mile to US 34-Fall River Entrance) and just a 5 minute drive to the quaint village of Estes Park, McGregor boasts some of the most spectacular views in the area. Enjoy frequent visits from our resident wildlife that include large bull elk, mule deer, foxes, coyotes, and the Rocky Mountain big horn sheep. A myriad of birds frequent our bird feeders strategically placed (and filled daily) at each cabin so you never have to leave the comfort of your "home" to observe these winged and furry critters. Enjoy a warm cup of tea/coffee or spiced cider (seasonal) in our inviting lobby while visiting with our friendly staff about your day hikes and adventures in the surrounding area. Fresh baked chocolate cookies will welcome you every afternoon, a wide selection of reading materials, books and magazines, games and puzzles are free for your perusing while here at McGregor. Open Year-Round, with seasonal rates, and discounts for extended stays. Weekly rates available. Dogs are allowed in select cabins for a charge.
