Overall we enjoyed our stay. Our room included a small kitchenette and fireplace. It was spacious and comfortable. Parking is limited. If you are one of the later guests to arrive, you will need to park a short block away. It is conveniently located near the capital and Brown University. Caution: it is located next to I-95--lots of traffic noise...

Thank you for reviewing your recent stay with us. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your Standard Kitchenette room. Some of the rooms that face the highway with the State House view can be found noisy to some guests if you aren't used to the city. We do provide white noise machines in those rooms for that reason....

Pros: Lovely historic property and pleasant check-in and breakfast staff experiences Free parking Good breakfast and coffee Cons: Bed (way too soft) Room setup (no plug available near desk for lap top plug-in); also paint peeling in more than one place on room walls Charge for bottled water and snacks (should be free for what you pay) The breakfast, while...

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We do provide complimentary pastries, tea, coffee in our common room. The additional honor system items (popcorn, candy bars, soda and bottled water) are only a dollar per item. These prices are quite generous compared to vending machines or convenience stores. Breakfast does start promptly at 7:30am during...

Historic building with a lot of nice touches. Ideal base to explore Cape Cod, Newport and surrounding area for day trips. Just a 30 minute drive to Foxborough and our Springsteen concert. Appealing breakfast spread with many options. Excellent coffee. Large room with comfortable bed. The highway din was barely noticeable with the air conditioner/fan running. Staff were friendly and...

Things which may be helpful: 1) Close to I-95 and I-195 near the capitol (state house), and downtown; 2) On the register of historic places; 3) free parking, breakfast, and internet; 4) Rooms on the top floor involve a few long staircases with turns. We enjoyed this B&B. Rates are competitive with chain hotels in the area, but Dodge House...

Thank you for reviewing your stay with us. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your time at our inn. Thank you for your kind words about our staff. The owners can't always be here but they know the inn is in great hands with their staff. We always have a staff member on site even after the office...

My 16 year old daughter and I stayed here over Halloween weekend last year when we came to tour Brown University. Providence itself is quite different from coastal NJ where we live. The area is not where you would be expect this wonderful B&B. Except for having to walk up 3 steep and narrow flights of stairs, we loved this...

The location was great. You can walk to downtown Providence, and it is a great place to stay as a central location for day trips to various places in the area such a Boston, Cape Code, and Newport. The room was nice and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and eager to ensure we had everything we needed. While this Inn...

Thank you for your thoughtful review of Christopher Dodge House. We indeed are a different, but historic Bed and Breakfast (and would not want to really be like another). Glad also that our staff did their best to make you feel welcome and comfortable. We also respect guests' quiet time and privacy. Front Desk personnel work in the office area...

My husband and I had a wonderful 2 night stay in this lovely B&B. Our room was located on the 3rd floor and was super spacious. We enjoyed taking advantage of walking to town to eat instead of driving.

This B&B sits in a strange neighborhood with factory buildings and multiple vacant houses. It also is right next to a 6 or 8 lane interstate highway. Needless to say, it is very noisy inside and out. Also there is no elevator or assistant to help carry luggage up the steep staircases on the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th floors, where...

Thank you for reviewing your stay with us. The inn is located in an urban neighborhood on Smith Hill. All of the factory buildings have been renovated into lofts and businesses. We do not have any "vacant houses" in our neighborhood, in fact many of the homes have undergone extensive renovations. Many of the major hotels here in Providence are...
