Myself and two sons (24, 26 had only ridden a few trail rides before) had an awesome time staying for 4 nights. We lucked out and the occupancy was very low, so all activities we easy to sign up for. We arrived a little before 1pm and we were on horses riding through the desert by 2! We took some riding lessons, which are very affordable and helped us get to know our horses better. Wranglers Johnny and Shania were awesome, they helped us with trotting and even did some loping in the arena. Even as a beginner I could do the cattle sorting which was very cool! The E-bikes were very fun. I do a lot of mountain biking and was not expecting to like the e-bikes, but with the sandy terrain the electric assist was really nice and made it much more fun. The ranch was able to accommodate us with a more advanced ride since we handled the intermediate ride pretty well. The rock climbing instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful, he picked some challenging climbs for us and we all learned a lot and left with rubber arms. The shooting and archery with Louie were fun as well, The bows were serviceable recurves of various weights as you would expect at a resort, but good arrows, fun time. The 45 shoot seemed a little pricey to me (x3 for my boys), but was definitely worth it and with the cost and availability of ammunition these days, it is really a good deal. The food was great at every meal. Some were made to order, some buffets style. All very good. I was concerned about taking a trip like this in with COVID, but the staff and guests were all very good about masking anytime we were close and 100% indoors. We mostly ate outside except in the mornings when it was too chilly. The staff and the family were all super friendly and accommodating. It is clearly a family run affair and the family has been doing this a long time and have it down to science. Steven (owners son) sat his horse in front of our small crowd of about 15 guests for the Rodeo (which is basically the ranch family and friends practicing for rodeos). He is a funny guy and really explained what was going on and how the events worked, etc. Great time. All the shows were good. Loop Rawlins gun spinning, roping and whip show was amazing. So every day we ate, rode usually twice, did something else like e-bike, shoot or climb, hike in the dessert, then a few beers, a show, play some cards in the room, go to bed and do it again the next day. Great time with my boys we will not forget!

Room Tip: We did not spend much time in the room, so got the cheapest, smallest we could and worked out fine.

Our family vacation to White Stallion Ranch was pure bliss and brings a smile to my face whenever I think about it. Their hospitality is truly exceptional as advertised, the rooms are modern and large (we stayed in Standard rooms), and it was absolutely liberating loping on a horse through their beautiful property without a mask! We stayed at the Ranch for 6 nights the week before Christmas on their "Full American Plan." There were no shortage of activities and our family did them ALL. You need to sign up/register for all activities the day before the activity. The non-horse-related activities have limited slots (due to limited resources i.e., bikes, guns, archery bows, etc), so during the busy winter holiday season, we had to compete for those slots. Sign-up sheets are brought to the lobby table at 7am and people are waiting there by 6:45am! It was chaotic and some guests were downright rude. RECOMMENDATION: institute "take a number" process. White Stallion Ranch makes everything EASY. Examples: 1. The airport shuttle picked us up FROM AN AIRPORT HOTEL (our flight arrived late and we didn't want to start our vacation at the Ranch after dinner). 2. Even though check-in is 2pm and check-out is 11am, we were allowed to arrive before 2pm on check-in day and stay after 11am on check-out day WHILE enjoying the activities and meals! Our rooms weren't ready when we arrived before lunch, so they gave us a key to the spa so we could change into jeans. 3. Shoes/boots with heels and cowboy hats are recommended, but NOT MANDATORY, as required at other dude ranches. 4. For every meal, we had special requests and they accommodated with cooked-to order dishes. We were a little embarrassed with our requests, but the dining staff graciously put us at ease and even sought us out before mealtimes to ensure our needs would be met. We were absolutely delighted with the entire experience at White Stallion. Their service is truly sincere, personal, guest centered & friendly. The rooms were top-notch. And the activities are plentiful and varied for all tastes. I strongly and highly recommend White Stallion Ranch!

I have truly enjoyed my time at the ranch, all was perfect, the team, the horses and the accommodation! The atmosphere is very convivial and relaxing but there is many activities to do for those who want. I had great rides, the shooting activity was very cool and I enjoyed ending the day in the hot tub.

My family and I (including 2 sons, 16 and 18) spent 6 nights at White Stallion Ranch over Christmas break 2020. It was the perfect antidote to the winter blahs (especially bad this year given COVID). Every day, we loaded up on outdoor activities. Got lots of fresh air, exercise and sunshine. Everything we did was fun - horseback riding, climbing, electronic bikes, archery, shooting 22s, and the evening entertainment. Our instructors were friendly and helpful. I especially appreciated their patience with us beginners, and we were able to have some success with everything we tried. The one irritation we faced was that most of the non-horseback riding activities booked up FAST. They would put out the signup sheets at 7am, and as we found out, by 6:30am there was already a line of people waiting for the signups. This was a real bummer, having to get up so early during vacation to get activities. Some of it was because of higher occupancy during the holiday break. And I will say that on Sunday, which is the horses' day off, they were able to add some classes for us at our request so that we had something to do. However, it felt like they could have done a little better to expand the number of classes to fit guest demand. The accommodations were comfortable, with good quality mattresses and showers. The bathrooms had all recently been renovated with tasteful granite countertops. We rented a Deluxe Family suite, which consisted of 2 adjoining rooms, each of which had a king-sized bed and a twin bed. The beds and amount of space worked well for us. The food was decent, served buffet style. Often outside, nice during the pandemic. Some of the dishes were really tasty - some where ok. The variety was enough to make sure my picky teenagers were always able to find things to eat. The website says that snacks are available all day, but during COVID the offerings have been reduced to fresh fruit only. I did like the self-serve bar they had, using the honor system, which really simplified getting a beer or wine. Overall, you can tell they've been doing this for a while. It's a well-oiled machine that works really well. We had a great time, and even our video-game focused teenagers couldn't wait for the next day to come. Other guests mentioned that there are families that go there every year. This does not surprise me at all, they really earn that repeat business.

To provide context, we have done a lot of traveling with our 2 boys (ages 7 and 9) - Turks and Caicos, Mexico, beach house rentals in Southern Cal, Kiawah Island rentals, Disney World, Disneyland, etc. White Stallion was by far one of our best vacations. We had never done a dude ranch and the entire concept is very conducive to disconnecting in nature and challenging yourself. White Stallion knocked it out of the park. The property is beautiful - accessible to the airport yet when you're there, you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. Here are our highlights and why we would highly recommend this ranch and will definitely return: 1) The quality of the horseback riding experience: we are not riders and frankly this was not a part of the trip we were angling for. However, the riding program is so well done and the wranglers so fantastic, we quickly became comfortable riding and fell in love with it. The wranglers are thoughtful about which horse to pair you with based on skill level and you have an opportunity to stay paired with that horse the entire time (which is wonderful because you build a bond with the horse). The wranglers were very patient and disarming. By the end of the week, we had passed our fast test and could go out on fast rides. It was a great accomplishment for all of us and happened because of the great wrangler team. Shout out to Gabe, Jaleesha, Johnny, Hank and Daniel. 2) Lots of activities: I was a bit concerned that we wouldn't be able to fill 6 full days but that was not the case. We loved the rock climbing. The great instructor, Trevor, coached my 7-year old up the rock! The shooting was a thrill for our boys, including the black powder shooting at glass water jugs that exploded upon contact. 3) The staff and team: As mentioned above, the wranglers were top notch but everyone we came in contact with was friendly and engaging. It felt like were were guests in their home (which technically we were because the ownership family lives on the property). The cleaning crew, wait staff, etc were so friendly and many remembered our names. It was a warm and welcoming place. 4) Authenticity: This is a mom-and-pop operation and the family engages with you at different times - Russell at the Rodeo, Steven at the shooting range, Kristin walking the property with her dog pack -- they were great. There is a real sense of pride and love they have for this place and they want to share it with the guests. The animals seem well cared for and the beauty of the place is stunning. It's rare to find a place that is not manufactured.
