Beautifully located in the Sonoran desert on the edge of the Saguaro National Park. Mayan is a delightful hostess who prepares wonderful breakfasts and readily shares her knowledge of the local wildlife or questions about the surrounding area and attractions. From the patio, it is common to see rabbits, Javelinas, chipmunks, and various birds including hummingbirds. The three guest rooms...

Watch desert birds and animals from the patio or hike the washes and trails a few yards away. Our hosts Wayan and Mike are two of the nicest people we have ever met and made our stay so pleasant we are already planning a return trip. Wayan has a special talent in the kitchen, and each breakfast was a real...

Just got back from Tucson and the Crickethead Inn today. It is definitely the place for us: restful and restorative on a little piece of the Sonoran Desert, yet within a short distance of anything you could possibly need or do in the Tucson area. Dave and I went to Tucson for the hiking and nature mostly, and the culture....

Crickethead is located about 100 yards from the boundary of Saguaro National Park. You feel as if you are in the middle of the desert, and wildlife such as Javelina, coyote, hummingbirds, quail and others come to visit a small water hole that is a few feet off the edge of the back patio. It is a relaxing location to...

We stayed at Crickethead for 3 days and enjoyed every minute. The breakfasts were delicious. The desert was right outside the door so we could take a walk or just relax on the patio and view the native birds and wildlife. Our hosts, Mike and Wayan made us feel right at home.

We stayed 3 nights at this cosy, welcoming Inn where the owner/innkeepers live on the property, entertaining their guests with tales of their travels & the wildlife that visits daily, and prepare one lavish breakfasts that are the perfect start to explore the nearby parks and museums and other local attractions. Several other guests when we were there were folks...

If you want a unique place to stay then this is your place! Off the main road in the Saguaro National Park you will be out with nature in the peaceful desert. Mike and Wayan are the most friendly hosts you will ever meet. They have stories as long as you have time. Every morning they would provide a different...

This place is an absolute gem. Mike and Wayan were wonderful hosts in every way, making us feel completely at home. The breakfasts were a great fusion of local and South-east Asian, constantly surprising, wholesome and very enjoyable, and the conversation was great. Our room, in a separate building, was clean and spacious, with a shared veranda overlooking the Sonoran...

Not much we can add to all the other glowing reviews. My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Crickedhead Inn. The energy here from the love that Mike and Wayan put into this place rivals the desert surroundings which are unequaled anywhere else in the area. We can't wait to go back.

Wendy and i spent three wonderful days in January at the Crickethead Inn at the edge of the Saguaro National Park. For nature lovers, this is paradise on earth, surrounded by a lush, Sonoran desert landscape, with the Tucson Mountains looming in the near distance. You never have to leave the property to explore countless trails, including a broad, dry...
