Clean room and big bathroom,plenty of towels, coffee maker and nice quick Continental breakfast. Staff was helpful and friendly. Not the Ritz but has what visitor needs. Recommended to all and relatively inexpensive.

I didn't look into public transportation, but did use a taxi to go to a mall while i was there, the driver was very nice and helpful and i got his personal cell number and plan to call him on my next trip to Tucson. as for how far away is downtown, i don't know, we only visited the university area with the trip to the mall being the exception. i can give you the name and number of the cab driver upon request.
