We knew, based on many reviews and disclaimers on the website, that this would be a very noisy hotel. They state very clearly: "We are an urban, historic hotel. Your room may be affected by plaza, nightclub, or street noise. We do not give discounts or refunds due to noise. Earplugs are available at the front desk. Or, better yet,...

Thank you very much for the feedback. Your right we DO have total control of the construction. My deepest apologies for the miscommunication that caused the noise outside of your room. Maybe we can see you again for brunch or a show in the future.

This great hotel was built in 1919. In 1934 a fire destroyed the third floor. At this time John Dillinger and his gang were seen fleeing the building. After the fire, the lobby was renovated in a very cool southwest Indian theme. There is also a very good restaurant and tap room. It is located directly across from the Amtrak...

Historic hotel. The rooms may be small for some, but just how much room do you need to sleep. Location is fantastic. Beautiful lobby. Friendly staff. Good food and drink options right in the hotel. And no TV's, which is a plus in my book.

I travelled to Tucson for a work related event which was taking place at the Hotel Congress. Upon arrival I felt like I stepped back in time. It was pretty amazing to go to a front desk, check in, and be handed a key; not a key card, an actual room key. The front desk attendant was quick to point...

We were here over New Year's and enjoyed ourselves very much. The rooms aren't impressive, but combined with the location and music venue, it works out to be a great place to stay. It's nice to be able to see a show and not have far to retreat to your room to crash afterward. The staff is young and friendly....

I'm sure it served it's purposes and is historic, but doesn't work for today's business traveler, No TV which is ok, No place to plug in today's devices, computer, phone ,blue tooth ect ect, beds are the worst I've ever slept on, noisy as can be, I wouldn't call it AC but what the heck it's only Tucson, On the...

Thank you for your review. We are so sorry to hear your stay with us wasn’t a pleasant one! Being located in the heart of downtown Tucson above a restaurant and club can certainly pose noise issues to guests. We are diligent about informing our guests about our unique characteristics when booking a room and upon arrival, and often suggest...

My wife and I were sad to leave Hotel Congress again after our most recent stay this month. Our first visit in the summer of 2015 came about because we wanted to try something different for a business trip to Tucson. We fancy historic places with uniqueness and character, and Hotel Congress does not disappoint in those respects. We became...

My wife went in to check us in but she couldn't because only the person who made the reservation could. We made reservations over the phone and when we were told that the only King room in the hotel wasn't available I made a reservation for a Queen room. Only after we checked in did we find out that they...

We are so sorry to hear your stay with us wasn’t a pleasant one! I apologize if we did not communicate clearly about the bedding that is available at the hotel. Yes our historic rooms are not as big as what you would find in a newer hotel. The service at the bars that you experienced is not typical. I...

The hotel itself was pretty cool, the staff was super and it's in a good location for local food and stuff. The hotel restaurant served a super breakfast. My title "Nice place but..." comment is because of the noise. Some called it music but I definitely would not. Check out the other reviews about the noise. It's no exaggeration. Extra...

We stayed at Hotel Congress for a graduation. They warned us many times it would be loud due to parties all around us. They were right, but it was a great experience! It's easy and safe to walk around and visit any number of restaurants and bars until late. It was fun to people watch as the graduates partied on....
