Disappointed!! Needed a decent room near the airport as our flight was leaving early. Had stayed at other Red Roof Inns in the past. Tenants were EXTREMELY loud and stayed that way til well past 10pm despite requests to security. After general ruckus subsided we fell asleep to be woken later due to LOUD snoring coming from top, rear and side! (obviously TERRIBLE insulation) Will NOT stay again.

We got out room key and went to our room, opened the door and a man was already in the room, tucked in bed watching tv. He was strange and it was very uncomfortable. Not sure if he overstayed his welcome or got in a different way. The whole place was sketchy. More like a motel not a hotel. We left immediately and told them to refund us.

I stayed here and extended it with one more night. When I had added the other night I had called the front desk around 10:15am and so Fransisco at the front desk told me to come by when I got back to renew my key card. When I got to the room it had been gone into by housekeeping and my personal valuable belongings had gone missing. I tried to stay calm and went to management about it and was informed they had spoken with housekeeping. The manager basically was calling me a liar. I worked customer service and the customer is always right. They've got nothing but a bunch of drug addicts in their room. In the past staying here I even found a bloody pad on underwear underneath the bed so I gave them the benefit of doubt staying here again to have this happen. Straight BS in my opinion and it was not handled correctly by any means.

Hotel is very run-down and beyond disgusting. Metal door frames are rusty and deteriorating. Black mold on bathroom ceiling. Shower curtain stained. Tile floor in bathroom crumbling and unsanitary. Furniture discolored from years of use. I cannot understand how this place has not been condemned by health officials.

There was blood on the sheets and the toilet upon entering. The comforter had a thick grey crud stuck to it leading me to believe it had never been washed. The room was obviously not cleaned at all based on the blood on the sheets and toilet. Smelled of smoke in a non smoking room. How this Red Roof Inn is even open I do not even know . Absolutely disgusting. After a 15 hour drive we just wanted to sleep but the blood 🩸 throughout the room made It impossible to be able to sleep there neither of us wanted to contract something. Thankfully they allowed me to cancel the reservation and refunded the money so I appreciate the lady at the front desk for doing so.

So we check into Red Roof Inn Tucson at the Airport, the Superior King room with an office desk and king size bed. The young woman at the front desk was busy with her phone, and I could just damn-well wait until she’s done. Already, I’m having doubts. Get to the room, and the toilet doesn’t work. The plunger sitting next to it should have been a tip-off. I go to the office, and tell cupcake that the toilet in the room won’t flush. She actually asked me “What’s it doing?” I pointed out the part about won’t flush. So we switch rooms. I was told that there were no Superior King rooms left. Which, according to the website was a lie. The booking page said there were some left. We get moved to a Superior Double room but with two full size beds and a smaller desk. Fine? No. It’s not fine. Here’s the list of why: There’s no ‘do not disturb’ sign (we never have maid service), there’s no trash can of any kind, there’s no coffee maker (one of the things that denote a Superior Room), the fridge is unplugged (didn’t know that, warm left over chicken dinner), the microwave wasn’t plugged in, the clock wasn’t plugged in and the cord was in a wad on the bedside table, the light over the bed wasn’t plugged in, the plug strip next to the bed only half works (another Superior Room item), the room phone doesn't work, and the bedspreads on both beds has so many stains on it, including one that looks like blood, it’s holding enough DNA to keep a lab busy for a month. No way on Earth are we sleeping under or anywhere near that thing so I strip it off and toss it in a corner. I’m pretty sure it squirmed a little bit when it landed. Wanna guess what’s not on the bed? A blanket. It’s just a sheet. It’s a clean sheet and we don’t seem to have bedbugs so we’ve got that going for us… which is nice. We do travel with a fleece blanket so we at least had something. And we did get a Do Not Disturb sign after numerous calls to the desk. Today, when we got back to the room the do not disturb sign is gone, and 24 hours after being asked about the coffee pot, there still isn't one. And, the dude staying next to us is out on the walkway smoking…. In a 100% smoke free hotel. The designated smoking area is clearly too far for him to waddle. I considered calling the front desk, but the room phone doesn't work. And, she would have blown it off anyway---might have to put her phone down. So, we got to stay in a crap room. For both days. I coulda gone to Motel 6 and had a better room. So if you’re ever in Tucson, pass on the Red Roof Inn at the Airport. I’m going to pass on the Red Roof Inn no matter where I am.

I am a top TripAdvisor reviewers and can honestly say this the first one star review I’ve ever given. Even when a place is bad I try to look at the bright side and I’ve given a couple of two stars, but never a one star before. It all started when we tried to check in. I picked this place because, even though it had mixed reviews, the price was reasonable and they did not charge extra for our dog. There were two other people waiting in front of me but there was nobody at the front desk. There was a sign that said the person was out doing something else and would be back later. I tried calling the hotel number to let them know we were waiting to check in, but the phone at the front desk just rang. I thought they might have a cell phone with them, but they didn’t. I then started walking around the hotel to see if I can find someone. I finally found a person and said there were several of us wanting to check in and his response was “well I have other things to do too.” My wife was ready to abandon the place and find some place else, but I convinced her to at least give it a try. Because of Covid they would not be making coffee available in the lobby in the morning. I asked if there was a coffee maker in the room and the guy said no. If I want to upgrade to a superior room I could get a coffee maker. I didn’t worry about it and figured I could just go next-door to Denny’s in the morning and get some coffee. Also the price he charge me was a little higher than I was quoted. He said they charge a $1.50 if you were going to use the in room safe. If you don’t use the safe you can come back the next morning and they will give me my $1.50 back. But you have to specifically ask for it, or they will not refund it. That was very strange. I’ve never heard of being charged to use the in the room safe. Also, there were signs saying this is a non-smoking room and if you smoke in your room you’ll be charged an extra $200. Well, as soon as we opened the door to our room the smell of cigarette smoke overpowered us. It was to the point that after I’d been in the room for just a couple of minutes my eyes were watery and stinging from the smell of the smoke. This was during Covid mind you and everything is supposed to be wiped down thoroughly. The floor was sticky and clearly had not been vacuumed as there was junk all over the carpet. The windows had muddy hands smears all over them, and the bed sheets were all wrinkled. I honestly questioned if they had been washed since the previous guests. There was absolutely no way we could spend the night in this disgusting room. We headed back to the lobby to get our money back and find another hotel and on the way there noticed the overflowing garbage bins. This was a Friday night before a holiday weekend so there was going to be no trash pick up for at least the next couple of days. Who knows when the last time the trash was picked up but there was no excuse for the piles of trash that were overflowing into the parking lot. When we asked for our money back, the guy at the desk did not seem surprised. I highly doubt we are the first couple that left so soon after checking into their room. I have never stayed at a Red Roof Inn before, so I don’t know if this is indicative of the whole brand. If it is then I will never stay in one again. If it isn’t then the chain better get their act together and get this place fixed up.

Stayed at this RR Inn on a Thursday in February-2020. Got in late, the checkin guy was very good, issued me a late check out time, and gave me a 2nd floor room at end of building. Very quiet, even though jets flying close-by, room well equipped, nice pillow top bed, clean bathroom with lots of toiletries and towels and hand sanitizer, good 43" TV, fridge and micro worked well. Parking right by room. Hotel was 2/3rds full, a good sign. Denny's on-site. Coffee 24/7 in RR Inn lobby and in your room. Used iron & board. Pool was decent but I didnt use it. Mid-$50s for a decent room. Location was right off I-10. Wonderful view of mountains. Good A/C as it was in mid-70s that day, cool night but heater worked nicely. Wifi is important to my cross country travel by car - strength and access to wifi and TV was easy and solid. Very good stay. Also has locking safe in roof, but I didnt use it as my 90 pound dog was the security - Red Roof Inns are pet friendly. Would stay here again.

The shower was fine, but for the love of Mike, when the jizz stains don't come off the sheets, it's time for more bleach or new sheets. I have low expectations when a room costs sixty bucks a night, but how difficult is it achieve unstained sheets.
