Unlike other reviewers, booking directly with the hotel got me the best price with breakfast included. I tried four hotels in Tucson in order to decide on a long stay booking next year. Lodge in the Desert won the prize. It's not my favorite, but it's also a third of the cost of my favorite. The staff is lovely. Very...

Just arrived after a five hour trip from northern Arizona to find that, after a long cold winter, that their pool is closed till tomorrow afternoon. We had no advance warning and it's currently 102 degrees. We had booked for two nights and we are checking out and staying at the Doubletree. We better not be charged a cancellation fee...

This place is beautiful and full of southwest flare! It has a wonderful breakfast buffet and gorgeous dining area on the patio and inside. The grounds are amazing and the casita rooms are HUGE! I was disappointed that the beds were not memory foam beds as advertised. Maybe they are in the main hotel but not in the casita we...

We stayed overnight at the Lodge on the Desert. We were pleasantly surprised. Fabulous overnight. The front desk was very helpful. Our room was very nice with much attention to the little details. Very clean. Outdoor dining was quaint and nice. We would stay again.

I chose this property because I wanted something different than the usual hotel room. We stayed in a Spanish casita, and it was wonderful. Super spacious with a separate dressing area and closet. Clean and comfy bed with nice linens and towels. Included breakfast was not special, but it was fine and in a nice dining room. The location of...

I booked this hotel for a week at the last minute. We were very pleased with the location, as it was a short drive to several sections of town we planned to visit. The room was large, the bed very comfortable, with a small refrigerator and large walk in shower. The breakfast was so so, but the restaurant servers were...

The room was nice and the grounds are kept up nice. Perfect place to stay for my daughter's graduation. Close to downtown and the U of A. Also, there is a shopping center nearby with a Target store. Very nice gentleman at check-in was able to honor our request to have our friends and family members in nearby rooms.

We like the cozy atmosphere of the Lodge on the Desert. But, during our stay they had problems with the hot water, and when you miss your shower you don't feel right. The property had nice, caring staff, and yet they did nothing for us upon checkout. No discount, no offer of a drink in their restaurant, etc. In short,...

We came to Tucson for a college visit & were so happy we chose Lodge on the Desert instead of a typical hotel. The grounds are gorgeous, the restaurant patio is very scenic and offers great happy hour food and drink with free breakfast in the morning. Our Fireside Casita Queen room was huge with tile floors, adobe style fireplace...

This is the kind of place my wife and I like to find when vacationing. Has the charm of an older hotel and the amenities and comfort of a newer hotel. The room we were in was quite large and nicely furnished. Bed was very comfortable and fireplace was a nice touch. Loved the morning breakfast on the restaurant patio...
