We got a special deal on this motel from hotels.com. The room was great. The bed was good the bathroom was large the towels were thirsty. Overall we were delighted with our room. The buildings are constructed to look like pueblos and were very compatible with the atmosphere of Tucson. Plantings of native vegetation greatly enhanced the setting. The only...

We were here for a weekend wedding and wanted to stretch our trip a bit. The Lodge on the Desert was a perfect fit. We fund everything we needed here and were sad to leave. Quiet, beautiful grounds and a great staff. We want to come back when the weather is a touch better to sit outside more. Strongly recommend...

The grounds on this hotel are very nice. The pool is small. The rooms are also somewhat small but very clean and functional. A wall around the hotel gives a feeling of privacy and keeps out traffic noise. Each room is like its own little casita. The restaurant advertises itself as 'farm to table' but should really be 'ranch to...

Loved this stay. Everything was great from our room with flip on fireplace to huge towels, great restaurant on premises, clean and nice decor everywhere. We'll be sure to stay here again when in Tucson area.

We have been staying at Lodge on the Desert for many years now when we visit friends and want to get out into the Sonoran Desert. We are always greeted at the reception desk like old friends (we only come down from Phoenix about once a year) and the room and information are all ready for us. The entire staff...

One reviewer said it best: "1930s Hollywood Charm." Read Tina B's review because she says it much better than I can and I totally agree with her. The grounds are lovely, the rooms are uniquely southwestern, the service is great, the complex is like an old pueblo in style, beautifully maintained. It's so quiet, you won't believe you're in the...

I usually wait till I've visited a place at least two times before I write a review just to make sure the first time experience is not a fluke (good or bad). We've been there twice now and it ain't no fluke!! Lodge on the Desert is now our "go to" place when we visit Tucson. We have been going...

If you need to spend time near city central, The Lodge is excellent. Rooms are spacious, there is a restaurant and bar within the compound. Large parking area if you happen to be towing, nice, quiet pool area.

From the moment I spoke to Richard at the front desk on my way into town, this was a flawless experience for me during a stressful cross-country move. I cannot say enough about the beauty of this property, with its stucco walls and rustic elegance, gorgeous trailing plants and flowers, rooms that make me want to check in and just...

Loved the grounds at this hotel. It was unique and well kept. The rooms were clean and fairly well updated. Staff was very friendly. The only downside was the breakfast did not do the hotel justice. This is a classic hotel that served rubbery eggs and overcooked potatoes. The muffins sounded interesting, but lacked flavor. Would have preferred some local...
