Hello Millie, We are sorry you didn't have a good experience with our staff. I do wonder who it was that helped you as we usually get accolades for our friendly service, from the front desk to the housekeeping and breakfast servers. Again, our apologies. Jill, Guest Relations

We stayed here for two nights and found it to be a wonderful experience. The room had the little extras to make us aware that we were in a historic New England inn. The bathroom had little extras, and the bed was so comfortable. We loved the breakfast bar. We would definitely

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to write us a review! Reviews are very important to our business as they let other guests know what to expect at the Inn. We're glad you liked your family suite as well as our cozy breakfast room situated in the original kitchens of the West House. Sorry about your difficulty with the parking--we know Salem streets are confusing with one-ways and a lot of traffic and it can be hard to find our parking lot, which is behind one of the Inn's other houses. Again, thank you for the review and we do hope you come back again! Jill Guest Relations

The location is great and the hotel was clean. It is located within walking distance to everything. It can be a bit noisy at times. The breakfast is plentiful and the wine and cheese hour is nice to socialize with other guests. The only issue we had was received a parking ticket

Hi TravelKat, I'm so sorry you got a parking ticket! We rent spaces from the city and there should never had been a ticket issued. I hope you notified the front desk so they could take care of it for you! Other than that, I'm happy to hear that you found the Inn clean and its location convenient to the shops, restaurants, and museums. And that you enjoyed the complimentary wine and cheese hour. As one of the hostesses, I truly enjoy seeing people meet other travelers, chat and trade stories. Hopefully we will see you there again! Jill Guest Relations

The whirlpools can accommodate two people and maybe three sitting; however, if you plan to lie down in the "pool" it would be comfortable to cozy to a squeeze depending on the size of the people. Two average (medium) sized people could fit comfortably.

Hi Stephanie! I'm not sure if there is a working fireplace in that room. The fireplace in the room I stayed in was not operational, but I didn't mind because I stayed there in the summer. I would call the Inn and ask them. The staff was very helpful and friendly when I stayed there. Have a great time!

We felt like we were being watched the entire time we were in the room, especially while trying to sleep. We also heard what sounded like people running above us for hours... We thought we were on the top floor. My daughter and I were awoken by a very loud sound, she had earplugs in but it sounded like a loud yell, to me it sounded like a loud bull horn just as I was dozing off. Creepy vibes for sure
