We were at Wyndham early January, got there with high expectations but left a little disappointed. If you choose it, here are some pluses: location is excellent! You are downtown, close to Riverwalk, The Alamo and the Main Plaza cathedral (I think St Mary is called). The lobby

Not a bad hotel but pillows are not good, little disappointing. Room ok, beds could be more comfortable. Fitness center is nice and breakfast was good but but expensive. If you have the chance go to Mia Tierra for breakfast you won't regret it .

Ubob61, Thank you for your feedback on a recent visit with us. We do offer feather and foam pillows and would gladly have offered replacement pillows, if provided the opportunity to do so. Please ask next time if this remains the case. Kevin.Latone@sawyn.com 210-362-6430

Travel50791290120, I can certainly appreciate and understand how waking to an emergency alarm in our hotel, and being asked to evacuate your guestroom suddenly would create a concern for your personal safety. We sincerely apologize for the disruption of a restful night’s sleep, these alarms caused. When alarms do take place like this, in addition our efforts to expedite your safety, we are also working with our hotel team to determine the source of alarms, and to take steps to correct issue. The emergency alarms we experienced between 1:00am-1:30am on 12-31-18 were activated due to high water pressure that had built up in our boilers. Through the night and into the morning, we realized the boilers were no longer heating water, and made attempts to fix. We also contacted our boiler vendor to assist us in trouble shooting the problem, procured and installed new parts, and temperatures in boiler began to rise as expected by 12noon. We thought our problem was solved. By late afternoon the boilers again began to lose temperatures. Over the course of the next several hours, we took the usual steps to determine problem and to reconnect with our vendor, but could not do so. Due to the NYE holiday, we could not locate another vendor who could respond to our emergency needs. Regrettably, this impacted your experience poorly, and for that we again apologize. We attended a business meeting being held in the hotel and stayed the night as we don't live in San Antonio. The hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful. The walkway from the parking garage to the hotel is a wonderful convenience. We enjoyed the meeting and our stay.

Airport shuttle service
I went on line and paid for the Super Shuttle as well before arriving. It made my trip easier. Plus I paid for both pick up at the airport and deliver to the hotel and for pick up at the hotel when leaving and delivery back to the airport.

Is any of the parking free???
As tClep mentioned our fees are $32 a day + tax for valet and $27 per day + tax for self parking. Our parking prices are lower than many other downtown hotels. There are other surface lots available for a variety of fees, with a few not allowing for overnight parking. If you do so vehicles will be towed. Several of our guests have done this in past and were not happy. Signage is posted, so be aware and alert to this practice.

How does the parking lot work??
Hello. Parking is around $30 a night. If you are an AAA member, try booking on the Wyndham site or app and select the free parking option for AAA members if available. The parking structure you'd use is very close to the hotel, and there is an underground walk way to and from the parking structure. It's a pretty nice place near the River Walk. Good luck. SR
