Enjoyed our stay here. We were there during the slow season, which was nice as there were not a lot of campers around. We could see the appeal as it is very family friendly and a great location for Flagstaff. There were lots of trees, which drowned out a lot of the traffic the busy road nearby. The bathrooms were clean and didn’t require a code. We would stay there again when in Flagstaff.

We live in Apache Junction AZ, we traveled from there to Ohio because my daughter had surgery scheduled for Aug. 8. And we went to help them through it. To make a long story short, all went well with her surgery and my hubby and I departed and came back West, and our last stay was at Flagstaff AZ. We pulled in (hubby went in and confirmed the res and from what I could see it was nice. Well we started for our campsite and I looked to the right outside row of the campground and said “what the heck” this doesn’t look like a KOA . . it is like a “skid-row” row, and we are just staying one night, so . . . guess what, our site was on “skid-row”😳. And it just so happens we ran into friends and neighbors of ours and they said they were baffled as to how bad its gotten since last year that they were here at this campground. So, CLEAN IT UP . . or your going to loose the business! At least ours, I know we’ll never come here again! And to top it off we paid over $70 for this site 😡 Hence the reason for the 1-star review!…

Beautiful trees and right by the mountain and much cooler than southern Arizona But tons of people, no privacy, bathrooms not too clean, lots of garbage around. Friendly staff, little dog parks and stuff to do for families and kids. Rec hall was closed. There is laundry, but most of the dryers were out of order.

This is the PITS! This is the worst maintained and highest priced KOA I have ever stopped at across the USA over the past 25 years. I will not return no matter what happens. Sites are dust bowls and so unlevel you cannot imagine. Road have pot holes and narrow turns with small sites that you have to be at the roads edge. The Staff is good but whoever owns this hasn't put any $$$ towards making it better. All water spickets are bent and cable boxes damaged and weeds over 24" tall at sites. If you have a small 19ft RV it may be OK but not for any larger RV's or motorhomes. At a KOA Discount price of $85 this is one big ripoff. They probably will say the location makes it that costly. NOT So, no longer will come here.

We stay for two nights in late May. The weather was hot. We enjoyed the large trees that shaded most sites for the whole day. This KOA is located in a forest-like area. Very rustic. This was our first visit to the Flagstaff area. The KOA location was in the right place to visit the history of the area. Being a university town - there was a youthfulness to the area. The WIFI was very poor.

We booked a two night stay. While we were getting groceries to cook the second night someone decided to throw a rock on our tent, putting a hole in it and breaking the rods. We can't stay in the tent and get use the groceries. Thank you for ruining the holidays. Pos

Stayed overnight. Tenting from Florida to San Diego. Made reservations in advance. Went into office to check in. Not the friendliest staff. However. Nice enough. Tent site with electric was right next to their maintenance area. Piles of rock and wood and very ugly to look at. A fence would of been nice. No tent foot print. Some did. Ours did not. Showers were outdated at best however they were clean. I suppose it was good enough. And like most KOAs . Road noise is always an issue

This campground was easy to find and get to off of I40. The staff was nice and friendly. This is a large KOA and it was jam packed. The sites are extremely close!!!! Our site was also unlevel! Also our sewer connection was right in our neighbor’s front yard and they were trying to cook out. We were just so uncomfortable hooking up sewer four feet from their table area that we just didn’t do it! (So we paid for a full hookup site that we didn’t even use)

Although the location was wonderful…the camp sites ARE NOT LEVEL. Even with the items we had it still couldn’t be leveled out. Makes for a very poor experience. It was great to get out of Phoenix heat; but when you sleep on a hill…you don’t sleep well

The Flagstaff KOA was great. We enjoyed our stay very much. Our two small older dogs enjoyed their daily visits to the dog park as well as walks on the trails around the perimeter. Facilities are great as is the location and accessibility.
