Find exceptional rooms and amenities; a clever, all-day coffee cafe; the latest tech amenities; and attentive service when you want it (privacy when you don’t).As one of the first hotel properties in Newport, the Attwater is set on a quiet street just a block off Bellevue Avenue in the central historic district. Perfect location in Newport -- an easy walk to many restaurants and shops by the waterfront, but on a quiet side street so you feel a bit removed. My husband and I stayed for two nights and found the accommodations incredibly spacious and comfortable. Staff were very friendly

It certainly sounds like you were able to take advantage of our great location and walk the streets of Newport and enjoy the city's great waterfront! Love that you both found your room to be spacious and comfortable during your 2-night stay and we're thrilled that you enjoyed our homemade, small plates breakfast. The Attwater is a nicely renovated old building (residence?) that's been revamped with a bright modern style. The staff was professional and efficient. The common areas are full of eclectic appeal, but our room wasn't nearly as attractive or comfortable as those pictured on the

We're certainly happy to hear that you enjoyed our great staff, as well as our unique and tasty small plates breakfast, however, we're so sorry to hear that some aspects of your stay did not live up to your expectations. In some rooms, we were limited to what could be done during the renovation due to the historic nature of the building nonetheless, we certainly do appreciate your feedback on changes that could be made now to better improve the room and make for a more comfortable stay. It's possible that you may have been more comfortable in a different room and we would be more than happy to find the perfect room for you the next time that you're in Newport!

Hi Jessica, We certainly welcome children of all ages at The Attwater but we do not have any specific amenities geared towards kids. Our King Suite rooms are the best for accommodating groups larger than two but please do call the hotel directly with any further questions, as our staff is more than happy to assist you. Thanks!
