Good hotel if your just traveling through... situated outside the city center, no real restaurants in the vicinity. Staff is friendly and rooms are decent. Good value for money, but lacks a little bit of atmosphere. Would recommend if your just en route to the next place.

The hotel is pretty far from everything so you need a car but at ~$50/night plus taxes it is a bargain with clean facilities. If it had had more guests the faux-wood flooring in the hallways might have gotten a bit noisy but as the traffic was light the occasional noise did not bother us at all.

We stayed on the first floor and there were many doors that were beat up looking and were ajar. Who knows what was behind them. Very creepy hallways. Rooms were remodeled and clean but getting to them was very very creepy. If the military wasn't staying there the same time we were I would not have felt safe.

Room was big and clean and bed was comfortable. Bathroom nice size. We got the section of hotel without rugs on floor because of allergies but you could hear people in the hall more. I liked it because of allergies. The slot casino is across street and they have a shuttle for a quick ride into downtown Newport. Would stay...

The hotel certainly needs updating and we stayed in the rear of the hotel on the 3rd floor kind of confusing getting to the lobby. Had a decent restaurant and bar on site and the shuttle was great getting down town. Right across the street from the Casino. Overall is wasn't too bad.

This hotel was nothing fancy, but it was clean and easy to get to. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful on giving directions. I stayed alone and I felt very comfortable in my room which was important to me. I would most definitely stay again.

"Girls" trip after Christmas. Just wanted to see the town and mansions decorated for the holidays. The hotel was very inexpensive, clean and comfortable. We liked the double beds with comfortable bedding and pillows. We didn't like the sound due to all laminate flooring throughout the floors. We could hear suitcases rolling and the maid cart in the morning. It...

We stayed at the Mainstay on Saturday, December 3rd. We were upgraded to a newer, bigger room. One room had two full beds, pull out couch, mini fridge, microwave and a TV. The other bedroom had a king size bed, chair, and TV. The hotel room could easily sleep 6 to 8. The woman at the desk were very nice...

I attempted to reserve at this hotel via Expedia and the hotel called me and emailed me claiming they could only see 13 numbers of my credit card number. I wasn't suppose to be paying until I check in, they said they were trying to verify my card, whether that be the case or not, that didn't sound right. I...

First, let's talk about price. This hotel is consistently the lowest priced hotel in the area. Why?! I have no idea. The rooms are terrific, the WiFi is fast, parking is ample and free, and the staff is absolutely pleasant. The location is great, you're close to everything, especially if you're working at the Naval Base. The attached restaurant isn't...
