Attended a wedding in Newport on July 4 weekend. This was a great option to the higher priced hotels in the wharf area. Hotel was clean & staff friendly. Due to laminate flooring, was slightly noisy & could hear footsteps.

Had dinner at the buffet with our bus group. It was adequate. Staff was courteous and accommodated our large group and another large bus group. Standard buffet food. Cannot review the hotel since we only attended the buffet

Top floor is the 4th floor.I recently stayed in a DELUXE/don't recall hardwood floors/ this side of the motel had extensive floor work last year.If you can get a room with even numbers;08/10/12 facing the bridge and harbor.Floor 4 had good views of the bridge and THE WAR COLLEGE area.You'll see any large ships coming through.Also lunch fish&chips are great.
