Stayed two nights in this compact airbnb accommodation. It is located about 10 min walk from the small sleepy town of Clarkdale, so perfect to explore the Verde Valley in Arizona, with historical sites from the Indians, and more recent copper miners. The Railway in the town is a fabulous 4 hour trip, with a commentary explaining the local landscape... More

We were looking for a place that had all the basics covered for our 3 night stay. We knew we would not be there much as we had hiking, sightseeing and local cuisine to discover! We found the Blue Heron and it was all we needed and more! Great communication with the owners, economical, comfortable accommodations complete with all that... More

My husband and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary here. Went on the Verde Canyon Railway which was very enjoyable and very close by. Brought our bicycles and rode around the neighborhood. The guest house was delightful as well as the hosts, Tom and Truly. They even had a happy anniversary card and small gift waiting for us upon our... More

We were nervous about renting an old tool shed/remodeled cabin. Tom was so nice on the phone so I figured I could trust him. I was right. Tom has created a charming studio Love Shack (he put a lot of love into it). The cabin is charming, clean, well stocked, comfortable bed, large bathroom and shower. We especially loved the... More

You expect a miner's cabin to be small but not to be as tastefully decorated & equipped as this. Tom was the perfect host & gave us many good suggestions. We made full use of the BBQ & patio area & Trudy kindly gave us small marrows to cook. It was a perfect place to retreat to after a long... More

My wife and I are regular travelers to the Jerome area with this being our first stay in Clarkdale, and we were very pleased with our decision to stay at the Blue Heron for our Valentine's Day getaway. We were met by our host Tom upon arrival, and he was very warm and friendly. The surrounding grounds were very clean... More

We were planning a romantic getaway to Sedona (we got engaged!) but ended up staying at this little cottage instead. It's the perfect location if you are planning on doing wine tasting in Page Springs and Cottonwood and taking the Verde Canyon Railroad or heading up to Jerome. Tom was exceptionally nice and helpful during the reservation process and even... More

We spent 3 nights at this wonderful B & B. It is pristine with wonderful amenities. We enjoyed the covered front porch as well as the very nice back patio. The owner, Tom made reservations for us on the Verde Valley Railroad which we highly recommend. It is very close to the B & B. Wonderful. It is also very... More

I have had the privilege of staying at the Blue Heron a few times in the last few years. It is adorable! The room is comfortable and clean. I love waking up and enjoying the beautiful Clarkdale weather on the porch. Tom and Truly (the owners) are accommodating and so helpful. This is the place to stay if you are... More

We had the best surprise getaway for my wife at Blue Heron! The owner (Tom) was so accommodating to arrange flowers and gifts in the room before we arrived at the property. He even contacted the train company to have more surprises on the train! My wife was so happy and everything was simply perfect. The room was incredibly clean... More

“The place is a bit tough to find, especially if you arrive at night. If using a GPS, You should avoid the right turn onto Park Road if you're traveling north on South Broadway. You should take the right turn onto Main Street instead from northbound South Broadway. As an aside, it looks like the dirt road (Western Ave) off of Park Road might go through, but the road looked pretty bad when we arrived there...”
