Superb service. Nice, not great room. Strange toilet. Buffet breakfast fantastic, excellent other restaurants. Prize was the dolphin pool. If you stay in that area, we were in room 1231, the dolphins are amazing. Better than the anodyne sea view. Sunrise on the beach is

Honestly the rooms need an update, but what makes this hotel worth the stay is the staff. Everyone who works here is so helpful and genuinely nice. They always try to use your name and really have the Aloha Spirit. The breakfast buffet was pretty good too and only $39. Also

Beautiful, clean, attentive staff, private pool with dolphins and the opportunity to swim with the dolphins. Hotel is on a private beach so you can relax on the beach or in their pool. Shuttle bus to several locations downtown to shop, dine, and relax.

From arrival to departure, our stay at the Kahala Hotel and Resort was fantastic. The staff, to a person, was personally invested in the welfare and happiness of every guest. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts at the Plumeria restaurant. Eric and Randy, part of the morning

Aloha. Appreciate your thoughtful comments. Especially thankful for the feedback on our Dolphin program. While the dolphins delight and are fascinating to watch, there is a very educational and research basis that is not always noted. Thank you for noting and sharing with others. We appreciate your patronage and hope to serve you again.

The cabanas were removed as of 11/1. A neighbor sued to have them removed arguing that they were on public property. The pool guys will help you put chairs under trees in the shade. That is what they did for us. It worked out fine. But I loved the cabanas too.

Aloha, Paula! Thank you for your interest. We love having families stay with us at The Kahala. We do offer a Keiki Club for Kids with wonderful activities for a half-day or a full-day session. We also offer a free shuttle to Waikiki if you want to explore with your family! We offer family-friendly activities on our protected beach like canoe sailing, snorkeling, boogie boarding, kayaking and swimming. Our property also has a dolphin lagoon. Mahalo!

free parking
Parking is $32 per day whether valet or self park. We had a package that included parking among other things. Taxi's are readily available at the resort if you don't want to rent a car. About $30 to downtown honolulu so kind of pricey. Resort also has transportation to different places via a small bus but we did not take advantage of that so I don't have any details.

No. You can purchase breakfast package, but that's it. Since this is Honolulu afterall, you probably do want to venture out some.

"Rooms over the dolphin pool provide great entertainment. No sea view however"
"Most rooms have a balcony view, hallways are spacious, rooms and bath area are spacious, room service is excellent."
"ask for a room facing the beach."
"Ask for a balcony - not every room has them and the upgrade wasn't that much money and was worth every penny."
"All tower rooms have balconies and very quiet. With young ones, request rooms that face Dolphin Pools and/or Ocean view on lower floors."
