If location is everything, the Kaimana Beach has it. On Waikiki but not in the core uproar zone of 3000 room hotels jammed with tour groups. Rooms tastefully remodeled since our last visit, but the beachside lanai still a prize-winning al fresco dining space. Waiters who were there years ago and who remember you. Five minutes walk into Kapiolani Park...

We had been at the New Otani several times from about 10 to 30 years ago, and were glad to find that it has remained an excellently located and reasonably-priced hotel near Diamond Head - away from the Waikiki crowds but close enough to make it easy to access when needed. It is also easy to take trips around the...

I didn't wanna stay in the middle of center Waikiki so we chose this hotel as it is near the beach with panorama view over the hole city and quieter area. The room was clean and nice, staff really service minded and restaurant had good food. Go for beer rather than drinks in the bar. Do book a table for...

A couple of weeks before our stay, I asked my travel agent to try and get a larger room, as the reviews on TripAdvisor suggested the "moderate" room we had opted for would be too small. We were in New Zealand at this point, and had stayed in quite a few hotels in the past few weeks on an extended...

The hotel was nice on right on Waikiki beach. All members of the staff was excellent -very friendly and helpful. But we requested a room with a double bed and got two singles that were pushed together for make one double bed.

The positioning of this "old world hotel" is a mile and a half from central Waikiki! Although on the beach, there are no chairs or umbrellas to be rented, which is totally unbelievable! They do give you a matt and towels which do little for any extended comfort time! There is no pool! The restaurant has wonderful breakfast and great...

Aloha, Thank you for taking the time to write a review regarding your experience at the hotel. We take all comments and reviews very seriously. Regarding the beach chairs and umbrellas they are at where you got the mats and towels. The chairs and umbrellas are given out if asked for. The distance and no pool is advertised on our...

We spent Christmas And New Year in Hawaii and decided to stay at this hotel, a short distance from the main beach resort of Waikiki beach. A well run hotel with clean presentable rooms and stylish furnishings. Great facilities and stunning views and a beautiful beach and quiet location in the evenings. Just what we wanted.

If you want quiet away from Waikiki beach, this the place for you. However if you are not to much into the beach and like to do sun tanning on your lanai then pick your room wisely. Do not expect the sun on your lanai unless your facing the beach. You get the last few hours of sun. The place...

The hotel is a bit dated but is in a fantastic location. It sits adjacent to Kapiolani park next to the outrigger canoe club. Its away from the craziness of Waikiki but still close enough to walk if you want to check it out. If you want to surf tongs beach is straight out and a short paddle to the...

Decent hotel, clean, good housekeeping and friendly staff. Lost points due to the location and smaller size of the rooms (our bed took up the entire room and it was difficult to fit our baggage) - whilst I appreciated it was in a quiet area (and this might suit some travellers) the walk to and from the main stretch in...
