My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in room 504 as the start of a 2 week vacation/ wedding destination for our daughter. The apartment we rented wasn't available yet. It was ridiculously noisy in the early mornings so ear plugs are necessary....More
The unit is self contained but very dated. The bathroom is clean, and spacious. There is a stove and a small efficient kitchen, but it needs extensive upgrading. The airconditioning, although adequate, is noisy. A good secure key actuated elevator is a good plus. The...More
Location was excellent; only 2 blocks from the beach. Hotel is surrounded by nicer, newer properties. This hotel is old but it was clean and served the purpose quite nicely for us. Very good overall value. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

My second time here and it was even better. Cheerful, comfortable, private, all that was needed from our week in Hawaii. The balcony was very much appreciated (my boyfriend and I are smokers) and we delighted in having a place where we could enjoy our...More

Hi Kathy,
Go to the reception and browse through the tourist brochures and find coupons which advertise shuttle/taxi services and rates. They vary from a single passenger to anywhere up to 4 passengers. They offer flat rates or metered rates whichever turns out to be lower. You can then use the phone at the reception to make a free local call and arrange timings, confirm pricing etc. When I was there, the price was about 27US$ for up to 4 people. If you are by your self, you may try calling Hawaii Super transit at 808 841 2928 ($8.95 one way) A.Blueline at 737-4445($6.95 one way) and many other choices as per the latest brochure coupons. The other option as well is the city bus with a fare of $2.50 or $1 if you are a senior but not sure if the timings will be suitable for your departure. Hope the above is helpful but please note that they are just suggestions and am not responsible for any outcome otherwise regarding pricing, services etc.
