$500 a night for a very small room with no air conditioning, no television, and a view of the maintenance yard. The common areas are beautiful. The rest of the hotel is old and run down. The restaurant was terrible. we were on a 17 day road trip and this was the worst part of the trip.

The best National Park Hotel, in the world. The lobby is huge and amazing. It is located, right in the middle of Yellowstone. Which makes it very convenient, to visit other locations in the park. I've stayed in many hotels and believe me. You will not forget this one!

A wonderful, timeless Yellowstone hotel. Don't miss the chance to witness Old Faithful at night. The stars are incredibly clear, creating a magical experience, and it's notably less crowded during that time.

It’s not our first time to Old Faithful Inn and it won’t be our last:) If peak summer the lack of AC is tough, but the classic architecture and views of the area keep us coming back. Great restaurants, buffets, coffee shops and up stairs views of Old Faithful erupting! We love to tuck in on the roof viewing area by the upstairs coffee shop:) Parking variable during peak season but deeply love this area be more than one lodging option is available nearby.

Let me get this straight. We can put a man on the moon but are unable to pipe in internet, tv, wifi, or ac in cabins that are priced as though they should. Technology is there...this facility should do the right thing, invest in upgrading technology, and get with all the rest of vacation resorts and attempt to make your stay pleasant.

This charming and historic lodge is a must see, but I would think twice before recommending it to anyone. The operator of this turn of the century lodge is incompetent and has zero interest if trying to deliver an acceptable product. The rooms were barebones, with broken lamps, dirty walls, and no TV. The bathrooms are a hit or miss, with some newly tiled and others looking like a jail. But you could get past all of this for the supreme location and beautiful architecture, if it wasn’t for the DISGUSTING FOOD SERVICE at this hotel. Every meal we tried to stomach sent a clear message: we don’t care about you or any of the inedible “food” we are serving. It represented a company who simply does not care and has put people in charge who have no problem serving the lowest level quality food possible. It’s like a prison. The buffet was dirty, tiny, empty, and MINIMUM OFFERINGS disgusting. For all meals. The server told us, “the foods been bad over a year and none of us would eat here.” And this level applies to all food options in the hotel - from a grab and go with rock solid freezer burned breakfast sandwiches, to a bar serving undercooked items. It’s catastrophic food and beverage. The US park service should award this park to another operator ASAP. We shortened our stay by a night it was so bad.

My daughter and I visited 2 weeks into the “off season” and only select restaurants were open. They had very limited gluten free options. We were located on the 3rd floor and the power went out numerous times, so we had to carry ALL of our luggage down 3 flights of stairs! Also be aware WiFi only works in lobby if no one else is using it.

The hotel/inn is so nice. We stayed at the Old house of the hotel and they did a very good job in preserving the historical look. It still look very elegant even after more than 100 years old. This hotel doesn't have a private bathroom in each room but the shared bathroom in the hallways are always clean. Bed was maybe 7/10 comfy. They do have a small sink inside the room. Our room didn't have a view of the geyser but its ok. And the room is enough space for our family. We have a virtual tour of the whole Old Faithful Inn in our yt channel Famof5LV. If you guys would like to check it out. Thanks

Think of this like glamping in the middle of Yellowstone. If you are looking for a 5-star resort with daily turn-down service and modern amenities, this isn't it. Instead, this is a rustic adventure lodge with a comfortable place to rest in between your excursions. The staff were all very friendly despite the low staffing issues they had to put up with. Yes, it sounds like your neighbor is shuffling furniture when they open/close their door, and I had a hard time sleeping but I was prepared for it. I brought earplugs and a small white noise machine to help. Also brought a travel adapter so we had more options to plug in electronics. The rooms are very comfortable and the common area bathrooms are very clean and well stocked. I never had to wait to use a shower. If you can get up by 5 a.m. you can experience the the lodge as if you're the only one there and it's magical.

I love the OFI and have been going there every October for over 30 years. I've never had a rodent problem until this year. Each night after turning out the lights I could hear mice scurrying around the room. Mainly going to the three tiered waste/recycle bin in the room. The landfill portion of this bin is located on the bottom which makes it very easy for mice to get into. I realize that controlling mice in this environment is difficult but they need to find a better way of handling garbage. It would be best to have a waste can with a lid and a foot pedal to open it. I also found a packet of mayo left by a previous guest that been opened by a mouse. It was surrounded by mouse dropping and lots of dust. It appears that this had been missed by housekeeping several times prior to my visit. Next time I will bring my own mouse traps.
