It was nice to stay in the park and to be close to the natural beauty. The cabins were a bit small, but warm and convenient to the Old Faithful geyser, lodge, and ranger station. It was fun to be up at dawn to watch the geyser erupt so close to our cabin.

We stayed 3 nights in the park at 3 different locations. It was kinda expensive but we didn't want to spend our time driving in and out of the park. So convenient to get an early start and avoid some of the crowds. Would check in early afternoon and then able to go see some more sights after crowds started leaving the park.

I love staying in the Old Faithful Lodge Cabins. I usually stay in the cabins with just a sink (no toilet or shower). The bath house is very nearby and I prefer to use the shared bath house and save a bit of money. You cannot beat the location. Old Faithful and the upper geyser basin is within walking distance of the cabin as is the visitor center. The lodge has eating options and a gift shop (also very close). Don't forget to check out the estimated times for geyser eruptions before heading out for the day (at the check-in desk in the lodge). True that there is no coffee machine but there is coffee in the nearby lodge and if you have your own teabag and reusable cup, you can get hot water in the lodge for no charge. I don't go to Yellowstone for TV or internet so the lack of these does not bother me. It is a little expensive for what you get but nothing beats the location (and saving $$ on gas driving in and out of the park). Highly recommend!…

The cabins were located right behind the lodge and just a short walk to where Old Faithful is located. They are small but we were out exploring the park from early morning to late in the evening that all we really needed them for was sleeping and showering. The beds were very comfortable, and the cabin was quiet despite shared walls with other rooms. There was hand soap and lotion at the sink, and shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower, along with plenty of towels (our cabin had a bathroom).

We knew cabins would be basic, but really ... for the price charged, the beds could be upgraded with better mattresses , the gap under the door could be sealed to prevent critters entering and a kettle with some coffee sachets would be appreciated. Glad we only stayed one night. Location is great but cabins need serious upgrading.

The cabin was very small, the furnitures were old, the glasses were dirty. The price is too high for the room they offer (neither airdrayer!) No frigge, no coffee, you have to pay also for air you breath

Our cabin was small but nice. The beds are comfortable We had wifi and a bathroom. They also provide a fan. I recommend staying here to watch the geysers. Nearby parking, desk and chair in the cabin.

You don’t get your own cabin, we shared with three other parties. The rooms you get are tiiiiiny and the ventilation in the bathroom is incredibly loud. Plus they aren’t super clean and quite dated. The food in the whole area doesn’t look appealing at all, I’d recommend you bring your own.

Needs bit of an update. Works though. Really close to Old Faithful Geyser Basin. Actually the cabins are located right there. Food service by Xanterra is awful. Eat a ham sandwich you make yourself or cup noodles. Lodging is fine.

We stayed in the Frontier Cabins when we visited Yellowstone with our oldest son, his wife & 2 kids and our youngest son and his girlfriend. Let’s just say that if I hadn’t been so tired, I would have just moved on and lost that money. The room was clean… and dry. But it was so tiny! We had no TV, no internet and no AC. And we were beside the bathhouse. But, on the plus side, you can literally step out your door and watch Old Faithful when she shows herself.
