The tents themselves (we were in a heated one, as it was December/January) are wonderfully warm and it feels fun to be almost outside with just canvas between you and the stars. That said, they are very close together (like five feet) and so you can really hear every noise your

I’ve been going to Yosemite for over 40 years. We usually camp,so this was the first time staying in the cabins. The room was very small. The bathroom was even smaller. The room was not very clean. I think we’ll stick to camping, much nicer.

We stayed two nights in a cabin with bath last February, and absolutely loved it. This simply felt exactly like what Yosemite should be. Since we were transferring from the Lodge, we were early to check in. There’d been a snowstorm the night before and we were having trouble

We stayed in a heated tent cabin for a couple of nights during new years eve weekend. The first night we froze our butt off. We had 5 blankets on us and the heat on full blast but it was a very rough night. The tent cabins are just tents.. so cold air gets in all day and all

The reception office is staffed 24 hours. However, if you're arriving late, you should probably contact them directly about it.

I would call Yosemite to get answers to your questions. A lot can happen (or not) in two weeks. From what I've read (again, call to confirm closer to your reservation date), camp grounds are being closed due to overflow of trash and restroom facilities not being maintained. I have a reservation in May and hope things are settled by then!

"There are very few private bath cabins. Book a year in advance, and/or keep checking for cancelations."
"Since the tents provide no privacy I suggest reserving one in the last row furthest from the parking lot."
"Great Location!"
"Get a tent near the showers/bathrooms unless you want a longer walk"
"Don't stay in the cabins, unless you like to pay the price of luxury accommodation to end up with a small dirty room/bathroom."
