Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We needed somewhere to stay near to Grantham, I found the Gregory and noted one vacant room, I took a quick review and booked for the Saturday night. We arrived early and had some drinks in the bar, the selection was very good and included branded spirits and drinks, my partner had a Pimms, it came in the correct glass and was loaded with fruit as it should be. Our room was clean, the bes was really comfy and the shower had a good supply of warm water, it had a good television that had Freeview. Our dinner on the Saturday evening was 5 star, the service was excellent and the quality of food just perfect. (my only hassle point was a person outside who was vaping and the exhausted vale was coming into the restaurant which we did not like). The breakfast the following morning was just a good, freshly cooked to order and was really tasty, we had all the options including serials, toast, orange juice and a choice of cooked food. All serving staff both in the bar and the restaurant were very polite and knew about the job they were doing, i like especially to thank these people, service with a smile. We are looking to book again as the overall package was 5 star, EXCELLENT. Thank you the Gregory and the lovely staff.

Call in today for lunch during a walk on the Grantham Canal. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We were served promptly. We asked about food and were advised of the options. We chose to eat in the bar as we only wanted a light bite. We had a couple of ciabattas, both of which were hot and delicious. I couldn't manage all the chips. I would certainly recommend this pub for a lovely meal.

Nice room, well equipped with super comfy bed but far too hot even though it was only 20c outside. Fan or AirCon a must please. Food great (dinnerand breakfast both excellent) with friendly, professional service throughout. Well done all, would return.

My husband & I discovered The Gregory over 10 years ago & have dined there regularly over the years It was our first time staying & we soooo enjoyed our over night stay last Friday The room was gorgeous with everything you need while still paying attention to present (Covid) circumstances Loved having the coffee machine in the room It was quiet & very comfortable The food was great & well presented - 'Pie night' And, a tastey breakfast in the morning Tables are appropriately distanced All the staff were friendly & helpful We had a little wander round the courtyard at the back which was pleasant There is also a small window feature in the floor of the dining room which I have never noticed before It enables you to see down in to a lighted very deep well The Gregory has real character Thank you to all staff

We stayed for a night, just the two of us and we absolutely loved it! We took the 'stay & dine' option and had so much food to eat in the evening, it was so worth it. The rooms are lovely. I thought i'd hate a bath in the bedroom, but for our date night away, it was actually a nice idea. The team are an absolute credit to the place, so attentive, polite and could not do enough for us. The tables for the evening meal were so spaced apart, we felt safe eating out with others in the restaurant. In the evening, we asked the team if there's anywhere we can go for a walk, they were informative and we got to walk up to Harlaxton Manor on a beautiful evening. I must say, we will be going back!

We spent two nights here...as a base for an antiques fair. We were welcomed and spent a few hours in their beer garden. The room was well appointed and comfy, the shower spacious. Unfortunately, as it was one of the hottest nights ever, despite a complimentary fan and the window open, the room was stifling and my sleep was poor. This was no reflection on the hotel:the bed was big, clean sheets and comfortable. They could not help with the weather! Breakfast was amazing with plenty of coffee and a full English cooked to my specifications. The evening menu was outstanding too....Thursday is steak night and I can honestly say, that that evening was one of the best meals I have ever had. I would highly recommend this hotel, nothing was too much for them to help us. Many thanks
