Our 4 en-suite Shepherds huts are lovingly handcrafted right here in Nanyuki by us and the team. They are based on a traditional Shepherd's hut design in the UK and come furnished with beautiful fittings. The Spacious 100 Year Old house has 3 bedrooms/ 2 bathrooms, a large kitchen, living room with fireplace and large veranda facing Mt KENYA. Our accommodation here offers all the joys of the great outdoors and provides a perfect base from which to explore the Mount Kenya region or, for those wishing to explore further afield, a stop off en route to spectacular Laikipia and Northern Kenya. Its also a perfect stopover for business people wanting access to the Nanyuki area whilst not having to book into a large hotel in town. We are located in a very convenient location right next to the airstrip and some great restaurants nearby. The Huts Each hut can comfortably accommodate 1 - 3 people and offers a perfect retreat with stunning views facing mystical Mt Kenya. A double bed and a single bed is in each hut. Luxury linens are provided including duvets, pillows and throws, and towels, loo paper & soap are provided in the bathroom. Bathrooms with solar hot water systems together with a booster to ensure piping hot water on even the cloudiest day. A BBQ offers the perfect spot for some outdoor cooking or marshmallow toasting and, of course, a cosy venue for star gazing under the magnificent night sky. We have a large swimming pool available for our guests to use at no extra charge.

We stayed in Bramble for one night on the way back from Laikipia to break our journey to Nairobi. The huts are built in a well thought layout with each having its own private space. Bathrooms are outside so I expected it to be freezing when going after sunset - I was pleasantly surprised at how warm it stayed. The huts are cozy for a night or two but space is limited. Kitchenette has everything you need (except a sink). The mattress and linens felt old. The noise from the main road kept me awake at night. Outdoor furniture was missing cushions so not really useable. It helps that the neighbouring restaurant was extremely flexible and stayed open a little longer than normal and also opened earlier than normal the next day to accommodate our schedule and dietary requests.

This place was like a dream come true. Friendly staff, cosy and clean bungalows, great views, pice and quite, nature all around, fantastic food and coffee.. I don't have enough good words for this place. And the price is really fair. Don't miss it..

We stayed just one night on our journey through Nanyuki and were surprised how comfortable and cute these little huts were. Sparce but had everything you needed including microwave, kettle and comfortable beds. Separate hut next door for shower and toilet. Plenty hot water but no sign of heating and quite high up and so can get chilly at night. Beautiful view of Mount Kenya. Little shop on site and good restaurant not far away which was a bonus.

A really cute and cosy cottage with a great view of My. Kenya! Also quite eco-friendly. It's right next to the main road but still worth every penny. They need to fix the shower in the white cottage though. We had no hot water during our stay. And there had been a few complaints from the previous visitors too but no solution.

Everything from the booking, up until we checked out, was amazing. The view from each hut is great. The huts are tastefully decorated, with all the amenities being on point. Our one night was just not enough. Perfect place, and great value for money. A special thank you to Pauline, she was very helpful!

These are rustic cottages with simple but elegant finishings. The clever shower suspended over rocks is a unique feature. the owners also certify the place as pet friendly which is a bonus for owners of fury friends like myself. the place also has a magnificent view of mount Kenya in the morning on a clear day.

I enjoyed these quaint cabins built on an easily-accessible property on the outskirts of Nanyuki town. My friend and I found the huts to be exactly as they appeared in the photo, no deceptive advertising. The bathroom was well-appointed and spacious but located outside the cabin. I worried that it would be cold but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn't. Everything was clean, including the bedding. The cabins are set at the back of the property so you can't hear cars on the road. We had a quiet Sunday morning cup of tea on the simply-furnished veranda. The bed-only rate was very affordable. I will definitely be back.

Amazing place would be an understatement. Shepherds Huts is prime and gives you a great view of Mt. Kenya. Great location for holiday makers, those who seek adventure and those who just want to get away from the busy city to enjoy the fresh mountain air.

Love the place wish we had more than a night. It’s Cosy and lovely just as shown in the pictures. The staff were nice and helpful. I would recommend it to anyone. The only thing I would add is a microwave for people who bring their own food
