Moses the camp manager is always there to make sure you have everything you need.
When you arrive the staff are at hand to welcome you, give you hand sanitizer and take your temperature,

The lounge area is beautiful, with a fireplace that is lit at night, the dining area has great views of the wilderness
There is also an outside area to sit around the campfire.
the camp is situated in a quiet area and along the river. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious with a private deck, where wildlife can be spotted, I saw elephants and Buffalo
I am vegan and they managed to make me fresh delicious food and smoothies and the staff are top-notch.
I did a night drive in their electric vehicle, which is one of the few camps that have one. The vehicles are not only eco-friendly but a smooth ride with little noise which means the wildlife does not scatter away.

Ol Pejeta Bush Camp was a fantasy experience 4 of the Big 5 and tons of Rhinos which can be difficult to find in other Parks/Conservancies. Plus Ol Pejeta offers the chance to see and support the conservation of the last two Northern White Rhinos in the world.

The tents and food were fantastic and the animal life across the river is fun to watch through the day. Staff Quarantine and are confined to camp along with frequent hand sanitizer and temperature checks. The COVID protocols are excellent and I felt safer on my trip then at home.

I can’t encourage you enough...the experience was fantastic, excellent food, extremely attentive service, overall visitors count is the lowest it has ever been and it makes for a very private and exclusive luxurious feel. Go have the trip of a lifetime and support the people and the animals of Kenya.

We took a trip to Kenya, and the focus and hype was a lot on Maasai Mara. But the first place we visited was Ol Pejeta Bush Camp, and truthfully after traveling through Kenya this camp definitely has my heart. Nelson, our guide, was the nicest, kindest, most knowledgeable and passionate guide we found throughout our safari trip. Maggie was such a pleasure to be around, and while I cannot recall rest of the crew’s name, each and every one made our stay comfortable and memorable.

Thanks to Nelson, our game viewing was excellent. He often went out of his way to ensure we saw as many animals as possible, a particular highlight being quickly finding a cheetah near our airstrip while we had 15 mins left for our departure! We also participated in lion tracking, which was very informative and fun and got to see the most adorable lion cubs. The highlight of course, was the last two remaining northern white rhinos, and the blind black rhino Baraka. The camp ensured all our transfers and activities happened smoothly, and the conservancy itself is doing a fantastic job.

The camp is fenced, and the tents were extremely comfortable, clean and well maintained. At night, they slipped in hot water bags under our blankets which we very much appreciated. We slept to the sounds of lions at night, and woke up to hippos swimming and grazing outside our tent. One afternoon while we just relaxed in the tent enjoying the view after a game drive, we saw an elephant with two of her babies stroll outside our tent. The fence is ideally placed, at a distance where you can see / hear wildlife, yet feel completely secure. The food was great too! The chef was so accommodating and kind throughout. I highly recommend staying here for a more private, exclusive and 1:1 with nature kinda experience, that isn’t always possible at the Mara.

Spent three nights at Ol Pejeta - the camp was in a beautiful location overlooking a river where we often saw elephants and gazelle on the other side. Cozy tents with comfy beds, spacious bathrooms and colorful blankets. The showers felt better than in the fancy apartment where we stayed in Nairobi. Loved the hot water bottles in bed at night! Meals were fresh, delicious and varied, catering to dietary needs (gluten-free). Service was excellent with wonderful staff and our guide Abdi gets five stars. First time I had a private guide on a safari... loved that; made the experience so personalized. Other than the usual game drives, we visited the last two northern white rhinos (amazing), the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, and went horseback riding in the bush, all additional activities that made our safari exceptional. After a full day, it was so nice to return to camp and be received with those refreshing eucalyptus infused wet towels to wipe the dust off and share our adventures around the campfire. The icing on the cake is that this camp is part of a company (Asilia) that contributes to conservation and local communities!

The staff go out of their way to make sure you feel at home. Their warmth and kindness, helpfulness is sincere and touching. Ezina, Nelson (our guide), Jonathan, Duncan, Chef James and although I don't recall the names of the others, honestly all of them made our stay memorable. They gave us a special Masai performance the night before we checked out and it was truly fascinating to see them all come together to sing and dance! The camps are very clean, there's warm water, hot water bottles to make sure you have a warm night's sleep, clean towels, beautiful views of the wildlife from all tents. There's a lovely fire place in the dining and common area. The guide, Nelson was extremely professional, kind, knowledgeable and humble. He went out of his way to make sure we had good game drives and gave us a lot of interesting information of the wildlife and conservancy. Ezina, Jonathan and staff were very accommodating and helpful. We had a lot of requests and requirements and they very patiently helped us with everything.
Wonderful stay overall and highly recommend it.

Amazing!! You will not be disappointed. The staff were all incredible. Family friendly, planning was impeccable, they anticipated our needs, flexible. The camp is beautifully situated along a river giving way to lots of incredible wildlife sightings right out side our tent, or from the main lodge. No need to worry, we saw more African wildlife than I could count, including 4 of the big 5 (we missed the elusive leopard). February was an incredible time to see wildlife with their babies ( multiple lioness with her cubs, elephants suckling their mom etc).
The tents are tall like a regular house room, plenty big, with running sinks and toilets. Shower is a bucket shower, meaning the staff will heat your water and fill a bucket outside from which gravity feeds your indoor shower. Shower was plenty warm and my daughter and I were able to shower w just one bucket fill (Asilia, please don't upgrade to running showers, we loved the experience and water conservation). All amenities were provided in each room. The staff thought of all our needs including placing a warm water bottle in our beds each night and one in the vehicle for early morning game drives. Food was top notch served family style (which we loved!!) We were served delicious meals fit for a king each day, along w tea in the afternoon and a drink/snack packed for afternoon game drives. Campfires and drinks before supper. One day they surprised us with breakfast at a scenic location half way through our morning game drive. They were wonderful about meeting our dietary needs.
Staff was so knowledgeable, we loved learning about the conservation and local cultures. Abdi was our game drive guide, he was absolutely wonderful! Patient and kind, such a wealth of knowledge . You do not want to miss this place!
Dressing in layers is advisable to account for the chilly mornings, hot days and cool nights. I appreciated having a hat and light pair of gloves as well as a jacket.
The last 2 northern white rhinoceros are located at a sanctuary near by and the staff can coordinate a visit. Don't miss the rhino cemetery and also a visit to the equator line.

Thank you to everyone who took care of us during our visit, each of you made our experience wonderful!

My wife and I were very tired of the Covid restrictions when I got an email in mid-August from our Africa travel agent, Chris Liebenberg of Piper & Heath travel, telling us that Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda were open for American tourists. So, I had Chris put together about a 3 week trip to Kenya for us which we took in late September/early October, 2020. The first camp he sent us to was Ol Pejeta Bush Camp in the Laikipia region of Kenya. Compared to the Asilia camps in Tanzania, which we visited last year, the Bush Camp is a bit on the rustic side. That said, the total camp experience is great. Peter, the manager, is wonderful. He is very personable and makes you feel almost like an old family friend who is visiting. The staff are all friendly, helpful, and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. They even, willingly, modified their normal schedule to meet our desires to eat an early, hot breakfast in camp and then go out for a full morning of game drive without having to come back to camp or interrupt the game drive in the bush for breakfast. Abdi, our guide, was great at finding stuff for my wife to see and me to take pictures of. We saw lions, cheetahs, cape buffalo, elephants, reticulated giraffes, wart hogs, etc. etc. The highlight was the large number of rhinos, both black and white, many with calves, that we saw. We also got to visit a rhino sanctuary where they have the last 2 remaining northern white rhinos and are attempting to keep the species alive by harvesting eggs from these females, fertilizing the eggs with frozen sperm harvested from the last males before they died, and implanting the embryos into surrogate southern white rhino mothers. At the sanctuary we also got to visit a blind black rhino named Baracka who we got to feed and pet separated only by a 4 wire electric fence. It was a really neat experience and demonstrated that rhinos are not all necessarily savage beasts and can be quite docile. If you want to see rhinos this is one of the best places to go. With the pandemic still raging I will note that the staff were all very mindful of the safety protocols. Everyone wore masks and they are tested regularly. My wife and I made it from the US to Kenya, toured for 3 weeks, and returned home without coming down with the virus. We will definitely return to Ol Pejeta Bush Camp at some point in the future.

Ol Pejeta Bush Camp gave our family a very memorable first safari. Glamping in elegant old-world style tents, with caring and attentive staffs. The safari vehicle and guide would pick us up twice a day for game drives and activities.

Our butler gently wakes us up in the morning with warm drinks and cookies brought to our tents. Birds start chirping to call us for our early morning drive. Good running water, hot shower, working toilets, organic toiletries and even bottled water to brush our teeth!

Breakfast, lunch, tea time, cocktails, dinner. All lovingly prepared by a resident chef. Imagine having lunch in front of greenery with a family of elephants passing by 🐘🐘🐘.

I was feeling under the weather when I arrived, and they made sure I had warm soup each meal, plus this hot ginger drink with lemon and honey, which helped me feel better.

We slept soundly during cold nights with hot water bottles stuffed under our crisp cozy beddings, we were lovingly spoled :)

Each tent was private enough even with their full windows open. Overlooking the “stream” (with electric fence) which kept away the big animals.

Our first game drive gave us giraffes, lions, buffalos, gazelles, impalas, zebras, baboons, and numerous beautiful birds. Next day we saw more, plus rhinos, hyenas and hippos. Our guide said cheetahs and leopards are very elusive, apart from being low in population.

Sushil the manager, Abdi our guide, Jonathan, Duncan, and everyone else at the camp- cheers and thanks to this spectacular team. Aside from its wildlife, Kenya’s most notable resource is its people who are absolutely genuine.

We loved the location of Ol Pejeta Bush Camp in the Laikipia area. We saw huge herds of animals, and also visited the Rhino Sanctuary located nearby. The staff at the camp were extremely helpful and made us feel at home. The main tent has a comfortable sitting area with couches and a fireplace which was a lovely place for a beverage before dinner. It was chilly at night, and when we headed to bed we had hot water bottles under the sheets making it nice and toasty. Our needs were well met with ensuite bathroom and bucket shower. Our guide Duma was excellent, and the camp managers Moses and Peter took great care of us. We would highly recommend Ol Pejeta Bush Camp. We felt very safe during this safari, and had negative covid tests upon our return home.

We had a SPECTACULAR time at Ol pejeta Bush camp. The staff was fabulous especially Richard and Maggie. Everything was so well managed, the food was incredible and the service was unheard of. We had a truly magical experience with everyone there. Richard is one of the most amazing people we've met in Kenya, him and his staff really went out of their way to make our experience one of a life time. On our last night, the staff surprised us with a romantic setup and firepit for dinner time. They had an anniversary cake especially made for us and they sang us an anniversary song in Swahili. It was truly special and we cant thank them enough for their hospitality and the wonderful time we've had!!
