We, dutch family of 5, stayed for three days in this beautiful, small sized resort after two weeks of hard core travelling in Laos. The resort forms an oasis of peace and tranquility in hectic Vang Vieng. The place is truly high quality in everything...More

An oasis and the perfect place for staying in Vang Vieng.
Perfect location near the old bridge and the river. Beautiful view.
Fantastic service. Best restaurant in Vang Vieng.
We tried the while menu. Great price/quality
Considering that Vang Vieng is quite small and very touristic, this hotel offers great opportunities to escape the streets which are often loaded with people and hectic. The service at the hotel is great, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the food they...More
The view on the mountains is a must. The service is excellent and more than excellent. The food is perfect, especially the breakfast. The room was very clean. Perhaps the air conditioning in the room could be less noisy but this is a minor detail...More

Yes, we took a private transfer from the Riverside to Luang Prabang. It was quite expensive and probably not worth it if I'm honest. The hotel were surprised that we wanted a private transfer when they offer a minibus service themselves. I'd go for this option instead as the journey time is not significantly reduced with a private transfer. It took about 7 hours door to door with a couple of quick stops on the way. The journey is beautiful and you see a lot of 'real' Laos along the way, and a lot of different geography from flat plains to windy mountain roads.
Honestly though, I'd take the hotel minibus over a private transfer. It will save you money and not take much longer.
