I would highly recommend this unique and very magical place for staying.

Apart from beautiful and very comfortable bungalow, you find exceptional customer service. The host will make you feel very welcome and belonging to Valhalla.

Very clean room. Food is great.

Pretty close to city centre and wild life as well ( lagoons, viewpoints etc)

Did not stay here...but good location for a pit stop before and after hikes. Coffee and fruit shake beforehand then a cold beer afterwards. Lovely true setting, if I do decide to stay in a bungalow I would recommend here just by the look of the area and setting alone.

What an amazing oasis in Vang Vieng. We had a great stay here and reccomend this place highly. The owner is a lovely and friendly women who is very easy to talk to. The bungalow is spacious and the overall atmosphere is serene. It's a bit out of town but an easy walk and well worth the peace and quite. Food is great too!

This is a paradise in Vang Vieng, Laos! The owner - Nouth is the kindest and most fabulous person you can find in the whole of Laos. She takes perfect care of all her guests and treats you like her own family and friends. Such a wonderful host! By the way, this place of hers only has 6 bungalows and you have to be real lucky to be able to book them for availability during your time of travel. Valhalla is located at the opposite side of the town, across the river. It is quiet and you feel like you are in a peaceful paradise, getting very close to the nature and good rest. To get to town, it's very easy too, just a short walk across the bridge to town and you have lots of scenery to take in along the way. Most importantly, to get to Blue Lagoon, everyone definitely need to walk past this place, and because Nouth also owns the restaurant, we have guests who will stop by to have a drinks to freshen up and it's so nice to always have the chance to chat with different travellers in Laos. By dinner time, it may be packed on the night where Nouth's Cousin performs the Lao traditional dance night. Dinner is cooked by Nouth and she is definitely the best cook in Laos! No other dishes in Laos can beat the ones she cooked!! I swear! I miss her cooking so much now!!!

Oh yes, if you are in Laos because of the Korean variety show - Youth over Flowers, Nouth's place is also one of their visit when they are heading to the Blue Lagoon. Check out the celebrities' messages on her guests' log book here.

I start withe the bad stuff: The breakfast is kind of basic. As a person who enjoys breakfast a lot, and as a person who has trouble eating egg, that was somehow weird. But allin all it was alright.

The good stuff starts here:
-clean bungalows and especially toilettes and showers
- good prize
- very helpful staff
- the owner treats her guests as family, you can ask for almost anything
- you can get picked up in the centre of Vang Vieng, if you need to.

If we happen to come back to Vang Vieng, we will be at that place.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lao Valhalla Bungalows. Nouth is a great host, which makes the place very special. She organized us all our activities (water tubing and buggy ride) and the transport to our next destination.
The bungalows ( we had 2 connected ones) are simple but cute. Very clean and with comfortable bed. Bathroom has warm water. The internet is a little bit weak in the room but it didn’t bother us. The bungalows are nestled in a beautiful jungle garden with free roaming chicken, ducks, dogs and cats ( and spiders)
You can hear the noise from the street. Especially the buggies.
It’s a short 15 min walk through stunning nature ( over the toll bridge) to Vang Vieng.
Highly recommend.

This place is number 1 for a reason. We travelled around South East Asia for over 7 months and by far this was the best place we stayed.

Communication with Nouth is very clear and she responds very quickly (best to book through Air BnB). She happily picks you up from the bus station in her little van.

When we arrived, there was no talking about money, signing papers etc it was straight to the room and she made us feel at home within min serving us a cold drink on the balcony with the best view of Vang Vieng.

We had a bungalow with 1 double bed which my self and my husband slept on and she put down two matresses so the kids could sleep on the floor and there was plenty of space. No aircon however the fans are more than enough and its great to open the doors in the morning to let the cool breeze come in.

Its located on the other side of the bridge away from the city so you are away from the hustle and bustle of tourist and loud bars BUT close enough if you want to go to the city, swim in the river or the blue lagoon. The bungalow was very clean and the best comfortable.

She has a few bikes you can borrow, just make sure you ask in advance. She will also happily help you book any tours, drop you off back to the bus station or simply sit down and have a chat over breakfast lunch or dinner.

She also serves the best food we had in Laos so we ate here for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the whole 7 days.

She treats you like family!! Do your self a favor and book here, you wont regret it.

Lao Valhalla is magic! And Nouth is at least half of it. She’s warm and funny and beautiful and you feel right away like you know her. There’s no pressure to take tours or book anything through her, but she charges fair prices and her English is so good that it’s nice to have her help you with whatever it is (minibus to another city, renting motorbikes, laundry, etc).

The food at the restaurant is simple but delicious, and I loved ordering something different every night (but stuck with the same yummy eggs and bread in the morning with crazy sweet Lao coffee). When I was there her cousins An and Kit were helping, and though their English skills weren’t as strong they were fun to be around (and it was great to support a women-run business and see it doing so well). Also, I’m not even that much of a dog person - I get nervous around them - but her three are so sweet that I was never scared.

The bungalows are lovely, raised up over the ground with a big comfy bed and a traditional SE Asian shower (i.e. there’s a small water heater and handheld spray and a drain in the floor)(the hot water worked every time). Also there are traditional SE Asian roosters; you might get woken up once in a while, but then you get to see the cows being driven out to pasture! There really isn’t much need to be in downtown Vang Vieng - it’s full of Western tourists and Western tourists prices - but I took one of Nouth’s free bicycles in a couple times to watch the sunset or people-watch.

I was only going to stay four nights but I quickly extended to six because I loved it so much. Just make sure to have Nouth pick you up from the bus station as her place is pretty far to be toting your luggage (as I dumbly did). But without heavy bags it’s a gorgeous walk down a dirt road with soaring limestone karsts and cute cows eating from the rice paddies, and then you arrive at the jungle garden she’s created around her place and it really feels like Valhalla!

We had a wonderful three night stay at these bungalows.

We were apprehensive about visiting Vang Vieng, due to the party town atmosphere. There is not much charm in the town itself, but that may be because it has all headed west to settle in these bungalows!

The owner, Nouth, delivers first class customer service. She is rightly proud of her bungalows and is a genuine, down to earth and caring lady who spent time chatting to all of her guests. The warm smiles from Nouth and her sister are infectious!

The restaurant area with hammock and decking is so peaceful - one of the best days in Vang Vieng was when we sat in this area and relaxed all day!

The bungalows are large, very comfortable, secure and clean.

The breakfast had a varied choice from omelette, fried rice, rice soup among others. The food was delicious and the coffee was local and enjoyable.

We don't tend to eat a lot of evening meals at our accommodation usually, however we were willingly lured in here. The price to quality ratio was superb and there were plenty of Laos / Asian dishes to try and we enjoyed every one.

The setting is majestic. The mountains / bat caves are simply stunning, and when the hot air balloons rise / descend each morning, you have a postcard view instantly.

The viewpoint (1km west from bungalows plus ascent) was incredible at sunset and well worth the 20-30 minute climb.

The free to borrow bicycles made it easy to get in and out of town, and being away from the noise was very welcome.

Nouth happily arranged a motorbike hire with a preferred company. We had a great day exploring the loop to the west with the blue lagoon, caves and quaint town.

We extended our stay because we were enjoying it so much. When we finally left, Nouth wished us well and gave us a hug - this perfectly summed up the caring welcome we had received and will be remembered fondly for a long time to come!

Hello. We booked through airbnb. I can't find her email address, however if you go on airbnb you will be able to contact her. She is very sweet and very helpful. You will not regret staying there. It's a little bit out of town. But it's stunning! And she will pick you up and drop you off if need be. The rooms are modern bungalows. With attached showers. We stayed in a double bed, and the room was still big enough to move around, also has a porch to sit on outside. Our room had a fan no a/c. She has a little farm and a garden, with her own restaurant. When I return I will stay with her again!!!!!!!!!!
