Ok so we were two couples and the cabins are bunkbeds. On the other hand, there arent a lot of lodging options in the area and they can get pricey, besides booked out if you come with less then six month ahead. We really loved our stay at the cabins. The location is just beautiful. The cabins sit at the foot of the mountains with a field of sheep in the front and a lovely sod-roof church to the side. It's right off of the ring road and a great stopping point between glacier activities in Skatafell and a visit to the...

What an amazing place!!! I thought staying here was going to be roughing it a little, I wish I had known better. It was surprisingly spacious and warm. It had WiFi, a nice deck, and a perfect kitchenette. Beautifully made, perfect location. The glaciers in one direction, the lagoon in the other. Your neighbors are sheep, and breathtaking mountains are...

We also hiked to a waterfall on the edge of the village. There is pasture behind the cabin and we could see mom and baby lambs everywhere. (May is when...
