We wanted to pamper ourselves for a night and found Castle Durrow in one of the Manor booklets. The price--$260 Euros—was much more then we normally spent for accommodations, but the price included a beautiful room, full Irish breakfast, and a three-course dinner so in the end it wasn’t that bad. The sitting rooms, dining area, and hallways are sumptuously...

Decided to try Castle Durrow after living in a nearby town for over a year. It was a lovely experience. From the beautiful decór and helpful staff to the calming music playing in the background, Castle Durrow ensures you instantly relax when you take a seat. We ordered from the lunch menu and the portions were so generous, absolutely delicious...

We had a family meal in Castle Durrow's "White Lady Dining Room" at the weekend. From start to finish it was perfect. Decor is beautiful, table settings very smart with crisp white linen. Staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable about Coeliac disease. Great choice on the menu for Coeliacs. Staff couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely recommend and...

Thank you so much for taking the time to review us! I love family functions, we have a large family ourselves and there is always something to celebrate! Have you seen the new BBQ area ? It's just the best place for more informal get togethers. See you back soon I hope , Shell

Myself and my husband stayed in one of the Master bedrooms for one night over the Easter weekend. I had visited the hotel before to check out the rooms and knew that all the master bedrooms were gorgeous, but it was the luck of the draw as to which specific room we would get (especially with a wedding on that...

My wife and i stayed at Castle Durrow for one night and only wish that we could have stayed longer. Castle Durrow is a haven of Peace and Tranquility. The decor is original, eclectic and very tastefully chosen. The bar food was excellent and the breakfast selection was extensive and excellent. My Husband, Son and myself visited by chance your hotel yesterday evening and had a lovely meal in your lounge. "Best Paté ever" was my husband's comment about his starter. I did have a taste and must agree that the flavours were just devine. Our main courses were perfect. We could only manage one dessert which my Son had (Bakewell...

We stayed for one night with dinner and breakfast. The hotel is lovely and has a nice garden in the back and nice view of the countryside to the front. Dinner was nice, breakfast was ordinary if we're honest. Staff were very good, pleasant and always asking if we were ok for coffee or tea. Unfortunately there's not a lot...

Dear Sasia, Thank you very much for your review, I appreciate the time you took . You are right , we have no gym or pool because we decided that that is not the place we want to have , we want people to come and relax . Our gardens are in my opinion beautiful and very extensive, our gardeners...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Castle Durrow is located in the heart of the village. A fully restored, magnificent 300 year old Mansion with luxurious bedrooms each with their own atmosphere. Our restaurant is located in stunning south-facing rooms, decorated with mirrors and hand blocked wallpaper, our head chef creates delicious seasonal menus, popular with visitors and locals alike. We are a terrific place to relax and let romance and Guinness de-stress the mind and body in our cosy bar and reception rooms. In the Magnificent garden, with fabulous scented borders and a walled garden, from where our chefs pick their daily produce, you can stroll around for hours or have a more vigorous walk by the river and in the hills adjoining the castle. A stay at the castle with Dinner and some romance would not be complete without a beauty treatment in our salon , aptly named the Powder box ! ... more   less
