We stayed for one night in the suite. It's a beautiful, large room with bath, a separate entrance hall, a separate bathroom with two showers and double sink and a separate toilet. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed having a radio. The sofa was comfortable as well. There was a table with two chairs, laid ready for dinner. We had ordered dinner to be brought to our room as the restaurant was closed due to Corona.
The staff were friendly and helpful. We felt safe as the staff kept at a distance and wore masks.
The hotel is situated in a park and you can get a sheet with walks in the local area with interesting facts about the history. We also went into nearby Den Bosch, which is definitely worth a visit.
Highly recommended!

Sadly the quality of the food and some of the wine at dinner was very poor. We were offered a surprise dinner on the Saturday night and we were very disappointed to find out that the same meal was offered as the night before. Plus it was very poor certainly for the price we paid that made it even more disappointing. I would advise sending the chef on a (re) training program or replacing him/her. Breakfasts’s were ok. Lovely fresh bread although coffee machine made ‘warm’ coffee not hot. Other than that the rooms were certainly clean and pleasant enough. The hotel itself was located in an idyllic location. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. Plenty of brollies were made available (plenty of rain on this 2 days) So in all for a 4 star I would drop a star due to the Chefs poor performance. This can change to make it even a 5 star!

We had a 4 night stay in this beautiful hotel. Surroundings are absolutely marvellous. It is located close to the A2 motorway yet very quiet in a beuatiful park.

The main building is very nice, it has all modern comfort but still it brings the guest back a 100 years ago, beautiful!

We had a room in the Botanica building, great beds, very clean and quiet. In the mornings we had breakfest served in the room, very complete, nothing more we could wish for.

Staff is very friendly and polite, greeting every guest and they are very attentive.

As I see this supposedly is the #2 hotel in Vught, for us it was an absolute winner!

Thanks for having us and looking forward to the next visit!

If you have a choice - any other hotel ar B&B would be better. Several problems with the booking initially,
Find your own room , carrying your own luggage after checking in with a less than interested receptionist. There are several differently named sleeping areas - all of which are several hundred yards from the reception area. although the restuarant staff do their best the organisation really needs to be improved. Breakfast ( as there was a function arranged for the afternoon ) was to be taken inside. This involved a do it yourself , plate juggling monthly pythonesque route from the buffet area to the dark seating area. Collect your own tea & coffee & cutlery. If this was a Fletcher hotel or a hostel a la, but huis Bergen obviously has fallen for its own publicity blurb .
It was an overly expensive and unsatisfactory stay.
I do not recommend this hotel atall and sympathies with the catering staff who , obviously have no other choice than to work for this organisation .
My suggestion would be to invest in customer service courses and perhaps underline to the middle management cadre the basic premis that clients pay the salaries.

Gorgeous green location, close to highway and ‘ ok’ breakfast. For me location is Everything, beds come 2nd and wifi connection for work and not to forget food Quality, hygiëne etc etc... close to highway++ Main building very authentic en old but interesting ... Sub buildings are cute but No wifi reach and No bandwith on the whole area. There is No phone in the room..: basically When you figure out that the Matrasses dont work, No wifi.. you need to go out of bed for a walk to the main building.. the people are so kind but have No clue of what they are doing.. but Nice.. m. I paid 140 euro a night rhe recovery offer for all of this was a free breakfast.. No way! Way? They would recover during the day, I came back nothing happened. My reservation was deleted. I slept at home... the second night Because they Werner able to do something dor me. Absolutely a rip off to stay in this hotel and a terrible operational management. Stay at van der Valk, at least Everything you need is there, dont ware your money and time to this unhelpful staff... the operational manager called me back after a week to offer me breakfast.. really?

I travelled on business to Eindhoven using this hotel for one night accomodation.
Hotel consists of a main building and several parallel buildings - better to say bungallows. Bungallow rooms are on "Budget standard" with small bathroom added to a 16 sqm room with not separated toilet!?! Hotel is renovated in a traditional antique style and accomodation in the main building must be nice - but twice or more expensive.Breakfest offer is good and fresh, service is "Dutch" - slow and very "selfconfident" - one is not sure who sould serve whoom... Park where the hotel is situated is beautiful - but mainly in summer when it is not rainy whole the day.

We booked the hotel’s “historische arrangement” which included a night in their garden hotel, a delicious a-la-Carte three course meal and entrance tickets to the nearby WWII Camp Vught. Aside from the great value for money, the hotel room, grounds and staff were are top notch. I can definitely recommend staying there.

Een zeer aantrekkelijk ontbijtbuffet. Veel fruit. Diverse yoghurtjes. Brood, bolletjes. Beschuit, en lekkere koffie broodjes. Ei en roerbakei. Bacon en alle broodbeleg die je mag verwachten.
