We, two couples, booked a two day stay at the estancia. We were looking for something different and this looked like a good choice, about a half day drive from our homes. The estancia is located about 30 km north of Treinta y Tres, an unremarkable interior Uruguayan city. The biggest local attraction is Quebrada de los Cuevos, the Ravine... More

We drove for a long way to get to this remote Uruguay area. We intended to see Quebrada de los Cuervos, but once we got to this beautiful ranch, we never left. Martin, the host, speaks wonderful English, which was welcome to our ears after two weeks of speaking Spanish. The ranch is gorgeous, and has a beautiful home with... More

I don't know if anyone will ever read this because the location is so remote but if you get to this part of Uruguay you should really stay here for a few days. It is on a large ranch not too far from the canyon that is the local attraction. Martin and his family live at the ranch and Martin... More

My daughter and I drove up here for our last 3/16 days in Uruguay as we wanted to see the wildlife. It was a 3+ hour drive and Martin gave us good directions. He and Rafael looked after us during our stay in their parents' home. We had a great time. There was a choice for dinner and obviously we... More

Martin and Rafael are the perfect hosts on this lovely estancia. We enjoyed all that they told us, and they introduced us to information about Uruguay and about places in the nearby national park that we greatly valued and would never have found without their help. Booking the master suite room is definitely worth the extra money--the 360 degree view... More

My husband and I recently returned from a road trip throughout Uruguay, one of our objectives being to get a good feel of the country and its people. We choose a wonderful estancia by going to Pinos de la Quebrada! Not only were the hosts concerned and attentive, but they are also worldly, kind, and awesome people! Their main objective... More

Friendly brothers Rafael and Martin are verry good hosts. We got an extensive mail with directions to the Estancia but found it easely. Nature all around : Horses, cows, goats, sheep and pine woods. The ladies in the kitchen made a fine dinner.

We were awestruck by the beauty of this property. As you drive through the rolling green pasture lands, past the pine forest and arrive at the enchanting, white washed estancia, you feel as though you are transported back in time. We were greeted by Martin and two of his friendly dog ambassadors, Ona & Atos (a rather large but sweet... More
