We stayed in two chalets (three and two bedroom). The hotel is in good a location traveling from Wanaka and going to visit the Aoraki mountain. Chalets are well furnished and equipped for self catering. The supermarket is just 5 min drive or 10 min walk. Some bars are also available and provide really local atmosphere. is also worth to...

We were there after a day of tramping at Mt Cook NP. Booked a Twin Room with Bathroom at a pretty good price. The room was spacious and clean & the bathroom was well equipped. There was more than enough room for 3 of us! Laundry charges are value for money. There's a pretty neat shared kitchen & a line...

Very helpful front desk. All of Twizel is within 10 minutes walk, including four restaurants. This is the closest reasonably-priced accommodation to Mt Cook. Lots of lupins along the river just across Glen Lyon Road. Clean, comprehensive facilities.

We stayed here one night, en route on the A2O bike trail. Great accommodation in a 2 roomed cottage. Very comfortable and convenient and good price. However the service topped that with owner/ manager loaning us her car when we had to backtrack to Tekapo.

This is probably the worst hotel we have stayed in so far. The basic twin room is 3 by 3 meters (10 by 10 ft) and has no dedicated bathroom or toilet (!!). It is not explicitly advertised during room selection on a well known booking website, and it does not show on the final booking page either, for you...

We stayed here over night before marathon in Mt Cook. New owners were fantastic and were super helpful with any questions. Room was tidy and comfortable, can't complain at all. Top notch guys. Unit a bit dated, but was fantastic price!

Twizel is probably the sort of place that you pass through on the way to larger centres however we decided to stop over for the night. The camp ground is well sited and had recently changed hands. The new owners were very keen to make us welcome and we parked the campervan in a lovely quiet spot with a great...

We have stayed at other motor camps but this place was exceptional. When I booked an ensuite cabin I expected a small room with a bed and a bathroom. We had our own tv room with a fridge a large bathroom and a very comfortable bed as well as tea coffee and toast making facilities. We shared the kitchen facilities...

Check in went quick and smoothly, owners were nice and helpful. Our rooms were clean and showers hot. Prices were reasonable for accomodation. We stayed in lodges. Location is a good base for nearby tourist activities. We did the mount cook walking trail, fish farm and a lord of the rings tour. Twizel is a nice little town in a...

Centrally located, well set out, but ruled by a manager/owner who is rude. Our initial welcome was punctuated with the words " listen to this as I will only tell you once and once only". He spurted so much information initially that it was too hard to follow everything. Later in the evening we were berated for using the wrong...
