The Warere Beach is nestled on a secluded strip of beach, east of Nungwi, one of the most popular beaches in Zanzibar. Nungwi is known for its crystal blue water, phenomenal sandy beaches, snorkeling, and great nightlife. While most hotels in Nungwi are crowded into Nungwi Village, Warere Beach is located in a quiet, isolated stretch of beach that allows for privacy and pure relaxation, yet easy access to all the action Nungwi has to offer whenever you need a little excitement. The view from our beach is breathtaking, and we designed our hotel around this spectacular view. Each of our individual bungalows has views to the beach. Our three special beach front rooms are literally on the high tide mark, so you feel like you are living in the Ocean. At low tide, you can always relax around our swimming pool, with attached pool bar, so drinks are always on hand! Our onsite restaurant serves a delicious menu of swahili fusion food and you can order a la carte or choose our evening set menu.

It is a quiet hotel located a bit far from the main beaches of Nungwi but it is a nice walk of 20 minutes when low tide. The best thing is the kindness of the staff. My room was small with no view to the interior garden and pool, but very clean. The rest of the indepent rooms to

I am really surprised by the positive reviews I read here, because I completely disagree with them. I don't think it's worth the money (180 dollar! a night) for the service and rooms you get. Let me start with the room we stayed in (one of the rooms above the reception). The

I had high expectations for the Warere Beach Hotel. Being in a remote part of Zanzibar I adjusted my expectations accordingly. That said, in comparison with our other experiences in Tanzania, there is some room for improvement, especially considering the premium we paid to

Absolutely loved this hotel. From the moment we arrived in reception and looked out on the amazing vista we were hooked. We used the hotels pick-up service from the airport and all was fine, comfortable AC minibus. The journey was about 1hr 30. There are upgrade works to some

Dear Wanson, Thank you for your review. I apologise for the inconveniences that happened to you. We have purchased additional towels and showerheards. I believe the electricity socket was fixed during your stay. We did supply you with additional blankets, which we have a large stock of, for people who choose to sleep with very cold ac. Airtle indeed does not have any network at Warere, this is outside our control as I'm sure you realise. Wifi on a small island in the Indian Ocean cannot, of course, compare to wifi in Europe or the USA, or even on the mainland. Check out time is 10am, which is pretty standard internationally, we do allow later check out if we know what time the next guest in your room is arriving, which in this case we didn't Kind regards, Warere Management

I travelled recently with Precision Air from Dar to Zanzibar Airport, about 20 minutes and $10 by taxi to Stonetown. About $40 each way-cheaper and quicker than the Ferry. They were fine.

Has anyone swam on the beach here?
I meant to say only during low tide can you swim.

1. Is there any scuba diving nearby? 2. Is there a happy hour ?
The hotel got me in contact with Spanish Dancer Divers beforehand, so I could arrange a dive-package. No disappointment. The service was great, from hotel pick-up to the rental equipment, and the dive sites were amazing.

Yes, but you have to bring your own chairs. At the hotel pool there are free chairs, but I thinck is not allowed to take them on the Beach.
