Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed one night, not what I expected. Very expensive for what it was. If I paid 500 baht it would have been just about OK, but 1,000 baht was too much. The previous night I stayed in a brand new large luxury sea view room in Prachuap for only 700 baht.. The cabin/shed accommodation was very poor quality and old. A bit like camping. You can here noise from other cabins. The shower/WC was awful with no head room and no ventilation. There was no security box. I didn't want to leave my things to go for a swim or a walk as it would have been very easy to break open the door. No Padlock. The people there were nice though and it is very close to the Lomprayah Ferry pier There was a lovely beach and stunning sea views from the restaurant. The young receptionist was very sweet and pretty the food good.. I think the owners were lazy in not making improvements to this stunning location.

This resort is most useful for those travelling on Ferry from Chumphon to the Islands or other places. The gentleman we dealt with was most helpful. The room is small and cosy. Bathroom is very small, narrow and roof is on angle of peaked roof. Free breakfast is a piece of bread/toast. If you want something basic and comfortable, it's nice place to stay. If you want luxury, then look elsewhere.

I'm not one to slate places that I've been to but this stuck out in my head of one of the top awful places I stayed at in Thailand. The place is far away from Chumphon train station but next to the ferry so it was easy to get to the next day. The overall look of the huts looks quirky and cool but the staff were rude and the huts were tiny and uncomfortable and we felt really unsafe sleeping there.

We stayed in one of their huts in the garden zone which was quite spartan and very old-school, but the whole place had a nice atmosphere. Staff and owner were friendly and helpful. The place is located right next to the pier for the ferry to Ko Tao, that's why we chose to come here. Soon, the ferry pier to Ko Tao will move to Pathiu, about 30-40 kms north of Chumphon, another small provincial town with a well developped infrastructure, a train station, an airport (Nok Air) and an emerging hotel scene, so this might have a strong impact on this place here. Not sure, if the owner is so happy about that...

We just stayed here, first night in the sea view hut which wasn't worth the money. For the second night we moved to garden zone c ( their cheapest option) which was about 20 metres away from the most expensive. The garden hut was so much nicer inside and while you couldn't see the sea, the view of the garden was still nice. The whole place could do with redecorating but has a cute family feel with lovely staff and owner. The food is very good. Not a huge amount to do but if you want a quiet time with walks along the beach it is a perfect choice. Good links to the islands nearby. Wifi in the restaurant area but not in the rooms. Overall a great time once we had moved rooms.

We missed our ferry and this was next door to the pier! Huts are not very inviting, geckos in the huts. Had to pay 1000 baht (£20) for the night If you have no option then its this place im afraid Does have a nice beach location though.

Huts where simple but ok. Garden nice. Free kayaks were free for a reason. Had to pay 400 bath for two extra 'beds' ( old foam matrasses) for my kids. Owner was very unfriendly and spoiled our - so far perfect - holiday mood. But it's the only option next to the ferrie ( same family).

The only advantage of the hotel is to be located a few meters away from the ferry to Koh Tao or other islands. Besides this, they completely overcharge (THB 1,200). The rooms/bungalows are very basic but do not even worth half of the price. For people traveling by car, you can even leave your car on the hotel parking space during your stay on Koh Tao. In brief, a convenient rip-off.

Nice place right on the beach. Staff were really friendly and helpful. The bungalows were clean and simple, no problems there. The ferry terminal to Koh Tao is only 50 feet from the bungalows. So if your going to Koh Tao, stay here its definitely a pretty nice place to spend a day before taking the ferry.

Would never stay here if i didnt need to wait for the boat. The bungaloes was not very clean, had animals in the attic making noise all night. Maybe, bird, bat or rat. The room also had ants in the bed area. Would just stay here if i missed the boat..
