Established in an extraordinarily quite medieval village, Mont Saint Jean, this exquisite boutique hotel is a gem for anyone who wants to get rid of the crowds for sometime, enjoy Burgundy wines, excellent French dinner prepared by co-owner chef Marco Stockmeier and beauty of the natural panorama from the elegant terrace or windows of this chateaux. The rooms are decorated... More

On reading reviews from previous guests we booked 2 rooms and were not disappointed in any shape or form .The whole atmosphere was exceptional and staff made us all welcome . Evening Meals at the Les Roches were something to die for and the breakfast was truly more than what you expect in France . Wines on hand meet our... More

At best average, cleanliness was average. The room was ok, but on a mild day was stuffy, no air conditioning. The breakfast was average to poor when compared with comparable accomodation. The manager was not particularly helpful or friendly, just went through the motions. We had a voucher which was ignored stating we still had to pay, I doubt whether... More

This is an example where a travel agent booked the accommodations on the behalf of their clients (probably based on commission paid to the travel agent vs. client requirements). This is most likely the cause of expectations not met (we are a B&B and not a 1-5 star hotel). Additionally, the travel agent said that they were “VIP” clients…and asked... More

This is a beautifully renovated country house with pretty gardens. Room was very comfortable nicely decorated--had a balconey overlooking the countryside. Dinner is available and advised since this is quite a distance from a town. Breakfast was a nice buffet with plenty of choices. It is not huge -- maybe five rooms. A nice feature is a small room off... More

What an absolutely fabulous stay! Had 2 nights here early September. Marko and Tobias are the friendliest and accommodating hosts! Food was exceptional, room was excellent. The only problem was, our stay was too short! Highly recommended, 10/10. Sue & Mark Australia

What a perfect Burgundian Base! The minute you drive through the large gates of this lovely old house, you feel at home. The grounds are beautiful with a great panorama. The hosts Tobias and Marco are very calm and everything seems to happen without any fuss! The lady on reception was very sweet and helpful suggesting different aperitifs etc. We... More

This was our second visit to Les Roches, and it was just as charming and relaxing as on our first visit. We booked the Enchanting View room on the first floor; this is a very comfortable room, with a gorgeous view from the balcony! We ate in the restaurant on our first night; both the food and wine were superb... More

Booked as buffer between holiday destination and home, we arrived very late on Saturday in this fairytale like castle... It was indeed very quiet and had the right atmosphere to 'decompress' from the trip itself and relax on the terrace with a view, hosted by the very friendly and correct couple. The rooms were very well decorated, in style, but... More

We had a Great time. The stay was Relaxing, our hosts spoke amazing English and were very interesting and helpful. The accommodation was comfortable and breakfast was brilliant. The village itself is just charming with lovely walks for the family. Please make sure you visit the village castle and ask for a personal tour to include the chapel inside the... More

Absolutely beautiful restaurant and inn in a remote section of Burgundy. The cuisine is classic French and prepared to perfection. Try the chilled strawberry soup for dessert. If it doesn't have a Michelin star, it should. One of the co-owners is from California. The view is of grand, rolling hills in farm country. Best of all is the very fair... More
