Visiting friends for a long weekend, this place was a lovely spot in the middle of a quaint little town, used as a base for visits all around. Nothing was too much trouble and my wife and I felt instantly at home. Breakfast was simple - home made Grinola was lovely and the rooms were beautiful. Would visit again.

I arrived cold and dripping wet after hiking all day in the pouring rain. Lisa's welcome warmed me right up! Lovely room upstairs, pure linen sheets, gourmet dinner, spectacular breakfast. I have stayed here three times now and always find welcoming hosts, interesting fellow guests and great food, all at very reasonable prices.

We have visited this hotel 4 times and Lisa and Duncan are just the best hosts you could ask for. They are friendly, attentive and extremely helpful. The hotel is beautifully laid out, big breakfasts, gifts to take home, (which took me time to choose), Lisa helped me choose the perfect gift for a friend when I told her what...

We arrived on a wet and rainy Friday evening, what a warm welcome we received, our lovely hosts made us feel at home with a tray of tea and biscuits. Our room on the first floor was spacious and full of character. The hotel is very charming and just what we were hoping for on our first night in France.a...

Stayed 5 nights with two sub-10 year old children. Wonderful location as a base to explore the Limousin or to stop for a night or two on a drive north or south. Wonderful building; great rooms; everything clean and classy with the unexpected extra touch (teddy bear on children's beds and reading books for them). Hadn't intended to eat in...

We stayed here with extended family for 4 nights, and ate here 3 of those; every time the food was superb. Lisa is a fantastic chef and Duncan was attentive and could not have been more helpful. On one night we celebrated a birthday in our group of 8, and they made it such a special night, going that extra...

We stopped as a group of 3 adults en route to southern France having done little research into our overnight stop. This was a great find. It's about 10 minutes from the highway set down a quiet street in a pretty village. The house has been beautifully restored and decorated in traditional french style. We had a excellent dinner and...

We stopped over on the way down from London to the Pyrennees. Stunning building, beatifully and sympathetically restored by the owners. It's worth staying just to wander round the building and enjoy all the space!! Then they cooked us the best dinner I've had in a B&B anywhere and all for a very very reasonable price. The hosts were lovely...

It was a magically stay, in an enchanted, old world setting. The hosts went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. Wonderful meals if you want, and the breakfast is amazing. My room was very spacious and sunny. It's a place to go to feel special.
