The last night of our tour through Spain & Portugal before returning home to Provence and it was really nice to be in this gorgeous chateau- We new we were back in France. Recommended to us by two other couples who have stayed in the past our room Anemone was warm and comfortable with a superb walk in shower. We...

This hotel is very unusual. It is also a vineyard so as well as a good dinner each table has red, white and rose wines provided by the hotel. Huge choice of menu, locally sourced. Your room will give the sense of staying in a real chateau. Good secure parking provided. We have gone with several other couples, all have...

Hotel receptionist was superb, friendly, very helpful with local information. In fact all the staff were great. It was the hotel that was a let down. Bedrooms big, but smelt musty. Bathroom was large, shower mouldy, one basin didn't work , other let the water out slowly had had to continually top up. Very, very dated. No mini bar or...

We have stayed at Chateaux Cavanac several times over the past 10 years. It is probably the one place in the world that has not changed and is still as good now as it was when we first visited. Do not expect a five star hotel, it is very comfortable and clean. It is a 17th century chateaux after all....

This was an overnight stay near Carcassonne which we did last year and enjoyed very much. This time our room, Belle de Jour was very comfortable, although it did not have a bath, but the facilities were very much as before. The crowning glory of this hotel is the restaurant and the fixed price menu, where I had half a...

We took some friends to the restaurant a couple of years back and they determined that the next time they came they would stay in the hotel. It took a while to arrange, but when it happened, we decided to also book a room. We were delighted - spacious, light and airy - and with a beautiful four-poster in which...

We are regulars here, but this time just stayed for a single night. The room was exquisite, spacious, elegant and very comfortable. The dining experience is even better: check the menu offerings on-line, but trust me, you'll want to come again (even if its just to work your way through the menu ...)

Such a lovely peaceful Place to stay in the Aude. Possibly too quiet for us - even though the hotel was full it felt deserted. The pool gets small if too many people are using and despite being high season the salon was deserted and the bar area by the pool remained closed. Also, there are no tea and coffee...

Well we went back again, this time for a few days, yes it is old and quirky and the doors squeak and the floorboards creak, but we love this place! Last time we stayed in Fleur-de-lis this time it was Bluet. Had a problem with the wifi, but everything else was fantastic. We went to Carcassonne and spent the afternoons...

We were looking for hotel outside but not too far from Carcasonne. This did not disappoint. We had a triple room for ourselves and our six year old daughter. The room was spacious with a proper single bed and air conditioning. We had dinner on the first night. Dinner started at 8pm and we arrived just after to find a...
